The Sunday Sermon: The Quiet Voices
Joe Biden has hired a cross-dressing activist to advise the Department of Energy on matters regarding nuclear fuel and waste. Sam Brinton is known to wear stilettos to meetings advising members of congress on nuclear policy. Brinton is also a member of a community who teaches gay men to pretend to be dogs for sexual purposes. He’s qualified for his day job, but wants the attention for his sexual predilections.
It’s not just the deviancies of the left that scream out for normalcy. The post-Christian right defines itself by “owning the left” and changes as needed to keep its own outrage machine going. Lots of people get caught in the middle, pulled by both sides, demanding to know where their place is.
As the culture has rapidly shifted to the left, the temptation can be to “fight.” While there is a time and place for this, we often miss out on the quiet voice. Take a listen:
And while we try our best to outdo the decadence of the Roman Empire as it's decline became precipitious we wonder why despots like Putin and Xi run rings around us. Nothing is new under the sun. But God's light is much brighter than any stiletto heeled weirdo or any conspiracy theoried nut job. The book I read has it overcoming the darkness.
