Hay Erick, I am happy to debate people disagree. The reality is the water is muddy. We all pick our facts and filter them through our biases. My brother said Tulsi Gabbard testified Iran was years away from a bomb. Actually she testified they were years from a ICBM (they have ballistic) and they were not working on a bomb. Conflate the bomb and delivery mechanism and you could be excused.
Any way, with respect to debate it does require being at least respectful. Abusive Ad Hominem attacks that lack even the attempt to reference "facts" are vitriolic.
Nailed it all, and I agree with everything and it needed to be said. Part of our problem is too many want everything to be said in sound bites, keep it to a few paragraphs at most. but it is the nuances and the many repeated instances and details that make it hit home so solidly. Thank you again for a sane voice in the wilderness.
It's really disappointing... after we as a county have dealt with the Biden Crime Family, Trump 2.0 comes along and says "hold my beer".
I can see where he thinks it's justified, after all the lawfare garbage that went on during the Biden admin. But it is no less wrong.
And with all the pre-emptive pardons Biden gave out, he laid the groundwork for Trump to abuse it even more, if needed. You'd think the Dems would learn: they change the rules and end up getting one-upped by the GOP. Happened after Harry Reid went with the nuclear option with Presidential nominations votes, which led to our current SCOTUS that they despise so much.
When it comes to Trump 2.0, 2025 was a heck of a lot better than 2026. Please Mr. President, come to your senses and get us back on a better path.
Here, here! You've just confirmed how sick our country really is. And it starts with citizens who don't learn what their candidates are doing/have done and just vote a familiar name. Here in SC, our conservative choices for SC senator is Norman or another freakin' Graham. So disappointing.
In WA, police officers can be PERSONALLY sued for actions they take during their job against law breakers. Meanwhile, the state politicians get immunity/ defense protection for things they do that “might” be in service of the people. Maybe this is why people don’t want to be police officers in some states?
Holy smokes! It's 11:20 am and I just now finished reading this post. Everyone has said everything about it, but I want to add this...we have been in a period of NO COMMON SENSE. Instead of questioning, people are blindly following, being led. Logic and reason has escaped the general psyche. Covid was the perfect example. I am so relieved we lived here, in Georgia, and had Kemp to push back with his common sense approach. But I also made choices based on what I knew was logical. I'm afraid so much of what we're seeing today, is influenced by rash reactions of those who get the most headlines. I can't imagine what it must have been like to have lived through the Spanish Flu or the Great Depression, but somehow our ancestors did it. If we can grab hold of that same perseverance, we can do it too.
From the piece..."press wonder why no one trusts them and why they can get nothing done." Do you really believe that the elites and the press CARE about whether anyone trusts them? They spout lies, we gobble them up, they spout the next batch of lies without EVER even faking like they were sorry for the first batch...and we gobble them up again. And yes, both sides do it, but I still think real conservativism (not Republicanism) has the answers we need, but we won't hear them from the most public mouthpieces. Also, AI and Flock cameras both have great possibilities to encourage human flourishing and nab bad guys, but that requires that people in charge of them have a moral standard based on something other than their own broken intellects and thought processes. "Control" is, unfortunately, the deciding factor in how those technologies will be used, imho. Praise God for good people in positions of power, but God have mercy on us when that's not the case.

The quote,” people get the government they deserve,” was stated before social media & foreign countries having free rein to influence our citizens. It would be educational for us to reread C S Lewis’ “The Abolition of Man,” especially the last section.

This was really your point and it is so accurate and true. It's not the facts that count with the liberals, it's the messengers. Our "betters" are going back to old Anglo-Saxon law where the testimony of nobility, or leader, outweigh the facts of the case.
And yes, while I agreed with everything you said, it was too long. Not wrong, just long.
Finally, your Show Notes are the best replacement for The Drudge Report. They are actually better due to the "brief" commentary. Figure out how to monetize them more effectively. Keep sane.
