The United States sided with Russia, Belarus, and North Korea against a United Nations General Assembly resolution accurately noting Russia as the aggressor against Ukraine.
The United States then won a Security Council vote calling for an end to the war without assigning blame to Russia. We opposed our allies in the first vote, and our allies abstained in the second vote.
I know there are plenty of partisans who can and will defend the United States voting with Russia, Belarus, and North Korea. I am not capable of doing that. Even China and Iran abstained from the vote.
This is not right.
There is no equivalence between Ukraine and Russia in this war. Donald Trump, in yesterday’s General Assembly vote, aligned our nation with three ruthless dictators, all three of whom are actively engaged in the invasion of Ukraine.
That is wrong.
Disgraceful. Trump has a grudge against Zelensky, while he admires Putin's "toughness" and envies his power. As always, whatever the issue, it's all about Donald.
Did anyone mention that this resolution was sponsored by Ukraine? Did anyone mention that the US tried to get this modified so as not to disrupt the peace talks. I think not. Erick laid out a scenario that caused all of you to jump the shark. Do some research before opening your deep seated dislike of the administration. Not everything they do is right, but not everything they do is wrong either. If you are going to call balls and strikes, know the players and backstory
