I was just reading something about Praise in the Psalms, how it is a sacrifice to God. A sacrifice requires loss. We lose something when we sacrifice. Prayer is more on the negative side in the way of helping God remove the barriers for God to move on the earth. It’s still a very important to our Christian lives. David Prayed three times a day, but Praised seven times a day. Praise is honoring someone, God in this context, for who they are and not for what they have done. Praises are hard when things are good, but in times of loss and trauma, as with 911 or Charlie Kirk’s murder, praise comes. We just do not know what to say or do; we just Praise! God is on the throne which is the highest place in the whole universe. He is above everything, satan included. But we also can be and should be there with our Lord in the throne, above it all. That’s what we praise! He is the King of kings, Lord of all, our savior, our life, the Creator, the supplier of Life. These are praises that come out of us in these times. We praise Him for what He is!
