I believe it would be healthier if we let this man die with dignity, full of our prayers and love. I’m genuinely sickened that we spend at least tens of hours, collectively of media attention on a sick, old man who we already know is a sick, old man. He will hold no influence on policy for the remainder of what I hope will be a longer life. While I completely understand that this diagnosis comes amid every other cover-up the Biden administration engaged in, he is likely going to die. I understand the need for transparency, but if I may ascribe the adage “too little too late,” I will because he deserves respect in his waning years. Can all media please stop pouncing upon yet another opportunity to say nothing of substance with the intent of diminishing either their political rivals or the political weaknesses of their own side, and focus on not bankrupting us?
Sorry, but the people that covered this up have to be rooted out and pay the piper. Let the old sack die, but zero empathy/sympathy from me. All this shows is how utterly morally bankrupt they all are.
Sure, but your point is already more than well established. No one is questioning the gross sickness in his administration. It seems that the story represents above all a useful distraction from actually accomplishing something by the people we hired that need to do so.
I want people in jail for treason. I want Fauci on trial for his life. I want the people that lied and hopefully broke laws doing so to go to jail and never see the light of day. I want every screwed up BS law, executive order or whatever to be turned over and eliminated. I want them to suffer. I want it to trace back to Soros or whatever billionaire that was pulling the strings to have their assets seized and they are exiled to Siberia or better yet eliminated. I want the media that lied to us and called us racists, bigots and grandma killers sued into bankruptcy and everyone on their board of directors and editorial boards gone and blacklisted so they can never get a job other than digging ditches or cleaning out sewers. I want my pound of flesh from ALL of them. And once they are all gone, I want laws written and the constitution amended to insure this never happens again. And I am just about willing to watch the world burn in order for it to happen.
It's going to be a race to the brink in a spending game of chicken. Each side gearing up to blame the other when the wall is hit. The American people are the ones in the car though. The perpetrators (On both sides) have already siphoned off resources to save themselves, so they are not riding in the car themselves, and the car has an autonomous driver to play Thelma & Louise.
I have a real hard time keeping my mouth shut. Even the Holy Spirit has a hard time shutting my mouth. Hakeem Jeffries apparently does not understand Medicaid. First off, you can't find a Medicaid provider. Hardly anyone takes Medicaid in the medical field. I don't even see Medicaid patients. I take Medicare not Caid. You also can not get a nursing home bed on Medicaid unless there is one available and you have to do a spend down to utilize a Medicaid bed in GA. My auntie had to sell her home of over 45 years to pay for her Medicaid nursing home bed in NC. Politicians bluster and pizzaz but don't generally understand the facts They try to scare and tantalize and sensationalize. I am on Medicare and private health insurance. I work full time hours. I am penalized for working and making money on my Medicare. I am not at my full Social Security retirement age and therefore am capped at 106k a year in earnings or I am penalized on my Medicare Premium. So no, I don't think people will die if Medicaid is reexamined. Just keep your filthy hands off my Medicare and Social Security. Or give me all the money I have paid in over the last 45 yrs with market rate interest and I will go away.
You cannot despise Joe Biden more than I do. I only want him to live because he continues to do massive damage to the left. But the claim that his cancer was only discovered a few days ago is entirely plausible, based on my experience as a pathologist over 45 years
The second topic deserves more attention because it is fast approaching. What happened to Biden and his health condition is in the past. Here's a new drinking game. Each time Erick says/writes 'press corps' we take a drink.
“Having spent four years with Joe Biden in their mouths, these reporters were comforted to reinsert him this weekend and again fluff up the Biden family narrative. They can’t help themselves. And it’s hard for them to see the truth while gazing a Biden’s navel.”
I don’t even want to comment on the big, beautiful bill. It just infuriates me that they are not willing to cut a damn thing. I will probably stop voting after all of this and take the EVH approach. What good does it actually do?
With regard to Biden, ABC news (I only watch it because my wife has it on) also had a doctor on basically refuting Emanuel (may have been the same one from the WP article). They also made a point to say that PSA testing is generally not recommended for men over 70. What? My dad, who is 80, has had one at each of his physicals the last 10 years. Granted, there is a family history there but I find this hard to believe.
Even the House Freedom Caucus can rarely agree with itself, which significantly dilutes its effectiveness. We've been able to get away with printing money and rampant spending only because the cost of our debt has been extremely low. It was always known that if interest rates rose, we were screwed. That day is here, and action is required, but Trump seems to believe that our national debt isn't a problem. HUH?? A serious whiskey tango foxtrot for me.
I still don't understand how we're talking about COVID-level spending when the threat is over. All those hundreds of billions (if not trillions) of dollars should be stripped from the budget.
The government doesn't have a revenue problem. It has a massive spending problem.
I would say they're spending money 'like drunken sailors' - but sailors spend their own money.
Perspective. The 30 year Tresury Bond was first issued in 1977. It reached a peak of 15.21% in 1981.
We all know entitlement spending will bankrupt the country. I know I won't get a penny in Social Security benefits.
The US Treasury has built a $2.6 trillion surplus (end of 2023) in Social Security taxes since the overhaul in the early 1980s. For the last 3 years, social security taxes were lower than social security payments. This surplus will be spent by 2033. When that happens everyone will have a 20% reduction in SSI checks. We all know that will not happen.
While Trump does not have to deal with the issue, the next president elected in 2028 will. If not, then the presidential election in 2032 will be largely focused on entilement programs. Before that, we have the 2030 census. How many house seats will be shifted to republican leaning states? How will this change the Presidential election map? Will we include illegal aliens in the census population count that will then be used to allocate house seats? If so, will this impact the polictial debate over entilelment reform?
In short, Trump/JD Vance hve to deal with illegal immigration. If JD Vance/other republican wins 2028 election and the Republicans retain the house and the Senate, then we will have to address the 2030 census and decide how to deal with illegal immigrants. In any case the Presdietn electied in 2028 will have to deal with the 2033 Social Security issue.
If you haven't engaged with Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, I highly recommend it. In particular, they have a great tool for projecting the national debt where you can adjust different spending categories and tax rates to see the 10 year impact on the debt: https://www.crfb.org/debtfixer
Suddenly is around the next corner. Cut university spending, starting with wealthy endowment schools. Don’t cut trade school spending. Fair tax (Boortz) 9-9-9 (Cain)—- something has to change, and tariffs ain’t it.
I read somewhere that upwards of 95% of the students in the top journalism schools in U.S., especially in the Ivy league schools (Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, U Penn, and Yale) identify as Democrat. Ninety-five percent!
And with the advent of "advocacy journalism", i.e., biased reporting, those future "journalists" bring their strongly held political beliefs to everything they report on. It's no wonder we have the issues in legacy media that have today. That huge imbalance is impossible to correct. Better to burn the entire corrupt system to the ground and start over, which is in effect what is happening, thank God!
Social Security and Medicare will be much easier politically to reform as GenX begins to retire. Not just because there are fewer of us, but because giving us the shaft has never been politically difficult. BOHICA.
It's no coincidence that SS runs out of money just as I hit age 67.
As a fellow GenXer, I feel you, but also think we are a generation that might actually stand up for ourselves. But then again, as the latch key generation, we also might be the ones to figure out how to survive like we have all our lives. If we weren't so antisocial and apathetic, we could actually get involved and try and make some changes. But then again, I'll figure it out if it comes to it.

And who’s the piper? The taxpayer? I think we’d all just like to stop getting screwed.
Then stop the screwing. Burn it down.

Fair enough. Will that fix our problems?
It will make things right. And then we rebuild.
Whew! So much truth- thanks Erick

Since accountants can have two sets of books, why can’t doctors give Biden two sets of lab results? How do we know that he wasn’t treated quietly?
