This is my opening monologue from my radio program. Take a read and subscribe for exclusive content. - Erick
You and I are not supposed to talk about this. This is the discussion no one is allowed to have. Should anyone bring it up who is not in the black community, they are immediately branded, "racist." Where are the parents? Where are the families? What about the homes? Are there broken homes? What is the situation?
I noted on Twitter that had it not been for cell phone video, George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery's deaths probably would have gone unseen. Unjustly killed, unseen, no outrage. Derek Hunter, who has a radio program up in the Washington-Baltimore area, replied this way: "Jaslyn Adams was seven when she was murdered in Chicago over the weekend in the drive-through of a McDonald's. Two goons fired 50 rounds into her and her father's car. No one celebrating now gives a damn or likely knows her name. If there are no political points to be scored, then it doesn't matter."
In Atlanta, Georgia after the Rayshard Brooks situation, activists took over the Wendy's where he had been killed. A woman and her mother were turning around in the parking lot and were gunned down. Local police were basically instructed not to go there and to let the activists have it. Who speaks for the victims there? What about gang violence? What about the death? What about the broken homes?
We know from ample sociological evidence that kids who have two parents at home tend to be more stable, more healthy, and more productive in society. But we're not allowed to talk about the crack-up of the nuclear household, particularly in the black community, because you're a racist if you do. Every subject that could help fix the situation is deemed racist.
Nope, the only answer is reparations. We've got to give massive reparations and pay back what our ancestors took. Never mind the blood spilled or the other reforms historically given. It's all bad until we do exactly what they want. We're not allowed to talk about the stuff that we know could improve the situation like supporting and fostering healthy families so that young men are not lured off into gangs because they have no father at home. In fact, the growth of the American welfare state had a lot to do with the crack-up of the two-parent nuclear household in this country, regardless of race, because mom didn't need dad when she had uncle Sam's man boob. Nobody wants to talk about that because you're branded a racist if you do.
This girl in Ohio was chasing two others with a knife. What was this girl's family situation? What does it say about the Black Lives Matter activists who, in order to condemn the police officer, want to say, "That's just a knife fight." There's something fundamentally wrong with that picture overall and we should be bothered by it.
We should be really bothered by the fact that we have an entire activist woke segment of our society that refuses to address the two-parent nuclear household, the breakup of the family in the black community, young men going off to gangs, gang violence, the shootings in Chicago and Baltimore within the black community, black on black violence, and how a lot of people in the black community depend on the police to keep them safe from other people in their own community. We're not supposed to talk about that. Why can't we talk about this? This is one of the most frustrating things to me.
This is why we're not going to solve the problem. You can't solve the problem when one side has dogmatic insistence that reparations are the only answer because the whole system is racist.
The day before this police shooting happened, just 90 miles down the road in Cincinnati, another 13 year old girl stabbed another 13 year old girl, Nyaira Givens, 13, who died from her injuries at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Why don't we care about Nyaira's life? Does that not matter too? We are so broken and I have very little hope that we can fix this. Reparations won't. The Woke won't. We could... but anything suggested is called racist. What a big time mess we have allowed to take root.
Erick- I believe that you have missed the bigger picture: Marxists of all stripes, to include BLM and Antifa as well as a majority of social studies university faculty all endorse the destruction of the nuclear family, if not overtly, then covertly, as they embrace socialism as the solution for the problem of human suffering. Dating back to the Fabian socialists of the UK in the latter half of the 19th century, socialists have endorse the rearing of children in government facilities to program them into an atheistic worship of the almighty State. For these "smart people" who do not trust the masses, millions of nuclear families, all with their own social values, threaten the rule of their all-powerful politburo. It's coming if we don't fight back.
Point is: The destruction of the nuclear family is no accident: it has been the purposeful goal of the left for almost 2 centuries.
