Why Both Sides Have Jumped To Trump-Assassination Conspiracies
Following the assassination attempt of Donald Trump, both sides have floated numerous conspiracy theories to explain the events of Saturday afternoon. Progressive conspiracies claim that Donald Trump wasn’t really shot and that he’s milking the cuts from shattered teleprompter glass for political gain. Conservative conspiracies claim that the Biden campaign orchestrated the assassination attempt from start to finish because they know Trump will win in November.
As these conspiracy theories become ubiquitous across both sides and are adopted by well-intentioned people, it’s important to understand why: Good people sleep better at night believing bad people are in charge with a plan rather than realizing incompetent idiots are running the show. Let me explain:
