Why the Woman Question Matters

I don’t know if you guys have seen this, but in Florida a new poll of Democrat primary voters shows 52% support the law whose opponents call it the “Don’t Say Gay” bill. You read that right. In Florida, a majority of Democrats who intend to vote in the primary support the legislation.

Florida Democrats have made opposition to that law a top priority and a top message. But a majority of their own voters support it.

It’s why the question to Judge Jackson matters. No major media outlet outside Fox has even covered that Judge Jackson said she can’t define a woman because she is not a biologist. CNN, MSNBC, Bloomberg, CNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, etc. never covered it. Major newspapers did not cover it. It only exists on the right.

But it matters outside the right. Discrimination law is based on actions between the sexes. If one cannot define a woman, how can one apply the law? But more specifically, Judge Jackson knows what a woman is and knows giving the definition would trigger progressives.

Progressives are holding their party hostage and moving their party left. A judge who wants to be on the Supreme Court won’t say what a woman is because to do so would offend the progressives. Florida Democrats are opposed to a law that its base supports.

Across the country, media outlets and progressives are championing boys in women’s sports and condemning anyone who disagrees. They push polls of questions shaped designed to get them the answers they want, not the reality that is. They have taken Democrats into a bubble that separates them from the country.

For Republicans, this is good. The Democrats are being defined by their extremes. As long as Republicans don’t out crazy the Democrats, the GOP will benefit. That’s one of many reasons why the GOP should stop trying to relitigate 2020 and focus on the Democrats. It is another reason the calls from some on the right to be as spiteful and meanspirited in the public square as the left should be ignored. Voters are rejecting the extremes. Voters are rejecting the rage.

Voters wanted a return to normalcy, so they rejected Trump for Biden. But Biden has not given them normalcy. He has given them a progressive presidency without a mandate for progressivism. Voters are going to reject that as long as the GOP doesn’t enrage the voters.

The American people don’t actually care about relitigating 2020. They care about crime, education, Ukraine, and a culture losing its mind and truth. The GOP can win this thing and it has the progressive left to thank.
