I appreciate the fact that Erick has knowledge and insights into the political arena and players that I certainly do not have. I am a strong supporter of functional medicine and see many of the shortfalls of western medicine. We fail miserably in the areas of nutrition, wellness and overuse of harmful chemicals in our food chain. Kennedy's focus and passion to bring these concerns to a heightened awareness are encouraging to me. The shortfalls that Erick covered are new information to me and I neither want to discount them nor see them produce negative side effects. I also think it is a very good move on Trump's behalf to entertain candidates from other parties if they truly can add value and perspective to the team, specifically folks like Kennedy, Gabbard, Musk, etc. It may be a small step in having diverse opinions around the table to get out of an echo chamber. I think the majority of political folks have flawed character as power and control corrupt them. I still think Kennedy is a better choice by far than the current Biden HHS head. That is not a good enough hurdle though. Can Trump and the checks and balances of our system provide adequate guardrails to gain good outcomes from Kennedy and limit the risks? Will a true conservative be able to deflect some democrat/ media backlash as opposed to Kennedy who is a traditional democrat at heart? I have been hoping, perhaps naively that we could really make some headway on making America healthy again and feel like my bubble may have been broken? I guess we will see.

What a perfect Bible verse came up on my Bible in a year that relates to your point.

Galatians 1:10

For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I yet sought to please men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Do we seek the blessing of the earth or the blessings of God. Do we seek the approval of humanity and not the divinity of God.

Plays into your point.

Just thought I would point that out.
