Understatement.

His polling demanded it... ding, ding, ding.

Yes, the money was allocated and could only be used for this, however, the Executive has the authority in how he proceeds with the project, he just can reallocate it to something else.

It's a sad comment on America that the two leading candidates for POTUS are amoral narcissists: one too mentally deficient to function, and the other capable of who knows what to go after those who who have attacked him and his family.

But considering what I'd do to protect my family, I'll choose the latter if those are my only viable choices.

Spot-on Erick. Joe Biden lacks character. Always has. Plus, he’s the furthest thing from a leader. This entire mess is on the Democrat party. They will pay the price. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Biden the plagiarists has always had moral character issues, but we Americans seem to like our two latest Presidents that way… As the old saying goes, “you knew it was a snake when you picked it up.”

It baffles me that many of my fellow conservatives are all in on Trump. There are R’s running for President who have the potential to be game changers for our country. The moral character of W, the leadership of Reagan and the bite of Trump without the boorish idiocy…

Just like the first time, I will only vote for Trump if he is the nominee. I sure won't in the primary.

I won’t vote for Biden… If Trump is the nominee, and hopefully he isn’t, I’ll vote for him. If the primary were held today I’d vote for DeSantis or Haley. It’ll be interesting to see if Youngkin actually jumps in - he’d be great too.

Seems the Golden Rule - "Do unto others..." - paid off here. I have laughed hysterically while lauding DeSantis and Abbott ever since the first busloads of "immigrants" - what a joke THAT term has become - began arriving in "sanctimony" cities. It's stunning what a good dose of reality can do to idealism!

There is only one thing that I would have done differently. I would have sent bus load after bus load to Wilmington Delaware.

"Sanctimony cities": Brilliant!

We know now without doubt that the Biden Regime only changes its policies when fellow leftists complain. As for the rest of America, we can go pound sand.

What has made me laugh about this fiasco is that New York got upset over 10k illegals. That’s it. In a city of millions they got overwhelmed by a measurable few.

That is nothing compared to the hundreds of thousands of illegals that the border states have to deal with every day. In some cases some border cities are almost entirely made up of illegals.

Yet a few thousand land in the city of New York and it’s a crisis all of a sudden.

NIMBY in full effect. But I suspect this is a token gesture.

He authorized funding and action but let’s see if after the noise dies down that it actually happens.

To Bidens credit. Does he really have the mental health capacity to fathom or reason out solutions to these problems?

Who’s really in control here?

A great question, to which I would answer a firm "NO!" It's incredible to me that the media continues to cover for him when he is very clearly unfit for office. Compare that to Trump's "imagined" mental unfitness and all the machinations the Dems proposed with which to oust him. STARKLY hypocritical, yet somehow it's unseen by the left? C'mon!

"Sanctimonious cities" - Love it!

Uhmm, you may have overstated using the term 'flood' regarding the amount of iillegal mmigrants the 'sanctuary cities' have been dealing with and started crying over. Those are trickle numbers that the border communities would love to see.

I have a question. Has it always been the responsibility of the taxpayers to house, feed, give money to, and provide medical assistance to the people that cross our borders illegally? And if it wasn’t why now?

Biden by all accounts is the absolute worst president and father. Too bad the 81 million that voted for him didn’t see this coming or maybe they did and just didn’t care as long as he had a D after his name.

Expand full comment

I have that same question. With all the discussion of the budget, and a government shut down, what is the cost per immigrant? What exactly are they getting in tax payer benefits? Housing, medical care, phones, food stamps…what else?

Expand full comment

Some of those 81 million were republicans. You can also blame the 300k in Georgia that just couldn’t stand to have someone endorsed by mean tweets be a senator. They’d rather have an evil despicable false prophet Warnock in office. Same in PA. Better a vegetable than a real doctor.

It makes no sense.

And I suspect by this time next year the media will be painting trump in a bad light and putting out polls showing trump way behind.

I have texted President Biden and Emailed The Rev Ralph Warnock many times about their standing with God’s Commandments but they think their constituents are important than God .

Reality can only be ignored for so long. I do not blame Biden for the dog. The dog clearly realizes what everyone else should realize. Biden is old and needs protection. The dog senses that Biden is being ignored and not protected. How many videos are there of Biden walking around confused? When my grandad came to live with us after developing Alzheimer's, our dog Oliver decided quite quickly he would protect Grandad. We also realized that Oliver was the perfect walking companion for Grandad. We saw how Oliver would simply sit down and wait for Grandad to walk in the correct direction to get home.

Unfortunately, the administration is dragging the country in directions it does not want to go. Will the voter recognize the problem and choose a different person to lead the country? A different party? Will that person look at all the people in the Administration and say, shame on you for letting the US move it in such idiotic directions?

In 6 months, we will know the key players in the Republican party, and which one has a clue. But will the Democrats have a clue, or will they insist on keeping Biden and Harris as their candidate?

I'm honestly at a loss as to what I think we should do here. Republicans have been screaming about border security since 9/11 and gotten no where. To the extent politicos could fund raise or get re-elected off the issue they have, but just like Obamacare none of them have done anything about or with it. They too want the issue rather than the solution. That fact is evidenced by the events surrounding Trump's attempt to build the wall. He at least actively tried to make it happen but the establishment pols (I write that as a pejorative) ensured it wouldn't happen. Washington DC seems to hate America as much as progressives do. Sad really.

Republican governors and mayors just need to switch parties. When prominent Democrats complain, Biden fears damage to his coalition and takes action. Otherwise, the Mayorkas/Blinken/Yellen ship sails on, unchallenged. In the end, for Biden it's all about staying in power.

Expand full comment

Governors and party members complaining isn't what did it. Erick is right on this. It's only when the state-run propagandistas masquerading as "media" in this country complain that Biden or his administration (let's be honest Biden isn't even in charge of his own meals) do anything.

The MSM plus Dem leaders, working in concert. They sing from the same hymnal these days.

I am not at a loss. Illegals have no right to enter this country. Democrats are using the Cloward and Piven strategy to collapse the Government and teaching it on YouTube.

My point is that I've tried and tried what I can think of to reach these people and you can't. Now that THEIR elected officials are suggesting it I'm sure they'll explain why it is somehow (D)ifferent from when Trump wanted to do it and not at all racist (it's not racist at all.)

This story should be getting a lot more attention. I was living along the US/MX border (specifically in the RGV of South Texas) during the Trump years and remember how the Democrats mobilized their base against Republican policies to secure the border. AOC make a big show of coming down to cry in front of an ICE facility for cameras and to accuse border patrol of forcing migrants of drinking from toilets (which was not true) while everyone was up in arms about family separation and kids in cages. The only reason we were told Republicans want a wall is racism. Left-wing protestors called the wall "environmental racism" that would also destroy the environment while furthering white supremacy. Lo and behold, that when blue states have to shoulder the burden of processing illegal immigration, construction on the wall continues. The GOP may be a clown show right now but Democrats have done irreparable harm to this country. They created the tragedy at the southern border by demagoguing any effort to fix it.
