OK. But don't try to tell me her son and grandson loved her neighbor (admittedly not literally how the commandment reads). As with all matters biblical it has to be taken, to one degree or another, as a general principle, or allegory. And once you establish that beachhead you open the door to how much deviation from the literal word is "too much". There's a pragmatic answer to that question, but you probably won't find it in the Bible (I wouldn't know)

I love the story of the grandmother.

This is a timely and necessary message.

Not sure love your neighbor mean manipulate them, perhaps a fine line. Don't get me wrong, she did the right thing, she survived and evil was killed.

Thank you for the wonderful message. It's a terrible thing to see what has happened throughout the world in the past 2 years, as the evil entities of this planet have exploited the vulnerability of the United States under a weak administration. Trump certainly wasn't perfect during his administration, but he certainly kept our enemies at bay. I fear what else may occur throughout the world until new leadership here in the US reverses the cancer that is spreading. I pray daily to the Lord our God for a peaceful world, one where we can all live together, without such hatred or conflict. I only hope that time may come before the prophecies of Revelations comes before us.

Thank you Erick for all you put in todays message. I really needed to read it over a couple of times to get it all in my mind again of doing things His way, not mine or the worlds way.

Blessings to you and your family.

I am astounded! Your faith is what caused me to follow you, Eric. I had hopes for conservative viewpoints that were express from someone whose filter was Christian. We needed this reminder today. The story at the end feels biblical! It is an incredible story of one woman’s faith. We needed to hear this one. I have shared with family and fb friends. Thank you.

Thanks for the reminder, we could all use this in times like this. I may use Rachel’s story this Sunday.

The founder of Christianity taught, "Love your enemy," "pray for those who persecute you", "Love your neighbor as yourself" "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" and, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.'

The founder of Islam taught, 'convert the Infidel... or kill them."

I know who I'm following.

Thank you Erick. Your honesty in speaking from your heart makes your voice truly distinctive. You rise above your peers in doing that instead of joining the chorus singing the political banalities of the day.

If I lived in Israel I would consider Hamas my enemy not my neighbor the people subjugated by them as prisoners in there own homes unable to make a peaceful overture or just get out of the way

It is better to knock the cup of poison out of your neighbor's hand and have the neighbor hate you for knocking that cup from their hand, than letting them drink it with them not knowing, you know it is poison. Not all rewards are found in this life, in fact the greatest reward is not found here.

Sometimes love is actually seen as hate. We live in the time where evil is proclaimed as good, and good as evil. Such were the days of Noah, when all mankind only ever did and thought what was evil. But the Lord always leaves a remanent that know. How blessed you are if you are in that remanent.

We preach Christ crucified, to some a stumbling block, to others foolishness, but to some it is to salvation. By this will the world know you are my disciples, by your love for one another.

Thank you, Erick, run the race before you, the crown is at the end.

A few days ago, you wrote of Jesus the Man, a critical detail of Christianity and the rejection of which negates the gift of salvation offered by the crucifixion and resurrection. Once you have your head wrapped around that concept, reread the punishment he took before and during the cross and ask yourself if you could've said "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do." Me?? I'd have annihilated all of 'em, but that's why there's no "Tucker Christ."

Let’s say that you are the Good Samaritan. You see an injured person lying in the road. You get closer and see that it is an ex spouse, boss, bully, etc. Do you help them or ride by?

That was a powerful message. I needed to hear that too. Thank you.

I understand and appreciate what you are saying, but not sure the example given is a good one.

I’m not sure how the current conflict should be resolved, but a ground war and the fallout from that will be horrible.

Fine line between loving your neighbor, turning the other cheek, and defending the broader base of your population. I wish our leadership were stronger in this area and could execute some resolution before Armageddon!
