One of my favorite cookbook authors is a self-described “serial griller.” What makes Matt Moore unique is he doesn’t want credit for all the recipes. He profiles some of the best chefs of the south and shares either the recipes they give him or the recipes he makes from their inspiration.
He has a new book that just came out called “Serial Griller.” It’s not a book for low and slow cooking. It’s for direct heat. It’s not just for meat. It’s for vegetables and dessert too.
I talked to Matt today about his new book and what it’s like to put a cookbook together and build trust with chefs to get their recipes. You can listen above.
He also has two others. The South’s Best Butts and A Southern Gentleman’s Kitchen, which is also one of my favorite cookbooks in general.
