I thought The Dispatch was going to be the conservative news outlet

There is plenty of ignorance on the right, but the biggest asymmetry in politics results from the bilateral call for voter participation. Conservative efforts to discourage voting by ignorant people should be open and forthright: There is much more ignorance of civics and economics on the left than the right (hey, they even ELECTED AOC). If this were even minimally different we wouldn't be in these dire straits

It is true that in this time of extreme politics and destructive idealism, conservatives need to focus on the freedoms guaranteed to all citizens in our Constitution . . . and the legacy of our Law, which protects all citizens--rich and poor alike--from injustice and abuse by undisciplined police and unauthorized militia. We've got to find a way to make police brutality illegal, and punishable.

One reason that the progressive left has been able to obtain domination in the media is that it could care less about the truth. For example, one doesn't have to be a Trump boot licker to honestly report that he has repeatedly condemned white-supremacy and Neo-Nazis. For example, this is a Trump quote from the Charlottesville news conference ( https://www.politico.com/story/2017/08/15/full-text-trump-comments-white-supremacists-alt-left-transcript-241662 ): "I'm not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally." This is one of Trump's many quotes on this subject.

A second reason is that the progressive left (like China) has a long term view of economic investments. Billionaires on the left like Soros are not afraid to lose staggering sums of money now in order to support propagandist media organizations and anarchists like Antifa and BLM. They do this because they know once they control the strings of the puppets they put in political power, their investments will pay off in the long term. Similarly China was not afraid to obtain market share by selling goods at below cost because they know once they have established near monopolies, they would be able to rake in a huge return on their investment.

I read both articles and the Times is just another hit piece labeling the right as somehow evil. While the Journal was more balanced in their coverage. Reading the Times article you would think the leftist groups performing the same were doing small towns a favor. There is an arrogance in the Times piece that made me feel as if the Times knows best and I, as the reader, should know that. I'm so disgusted with reporters condescension as much as I am when politicians do the same.
