I watched the debate. I watched the town hall.

Meanwhile, Nick Saban is retiring. That is bigger news.
Saban has a 206-29 career record in 17 seasons. Amazing. As my friend Mary Katherine Ham tweeted last night, perhaps he could do a Master Class in retiring gracefully at a less than corpse-like age and we could give two specific 80 year olds a copy of the class.
Mr. Norris I am 70 and I understand completely. Productivity and handing the reins over to the younger leaders was exactly the reason I retired in 2019 after many years of good work. What I was objecting to is that the position of President should be respected and not mocked, condemned, nor have the candidates called ugly names. If you do not respect them as candidates then there is no hope for respect as the top leader of our country. Additionally, let us how we can get the President's position back to a place of productivity. And further, how do we get the younger leaders to run for this office? Where are they and why can they not be available and accountable? It is as if the "machines" that back the current candidates look at them in positions of power so that sadly the real needs of the country fall short.
I love Mary Katherine Ham. I want to bear her children.
