Mr. Norris I am 70 and I understand completely. Productivity and handing the reins over to the younger leaders was exactly the reason I retired in 2019 after many years of good work. What I was objecting to is that the position of President should be respected and not mocked, condemned, nor have the candidates called ugly names. If you do not respect them as candidates then there is no hope for respect as the top leader of our country. Additionally, let us how we can get the President's position back to a place of productivity. And further, how do we get the younger leaders to run for this office? Where are they and why can they not be available and accountable? It is as if the "machines" that back the current candidates look at them in positions of power so that sadly the real needs of the country fall short.
When Fox came back from its final commercial break ifrom the first two town halls, Desantis & Haley were on stage with the moderators waiting to be thanked before the camera turned off. When they came back last night, Trump had already left the stage and was shaking hands with the crowd.
For all his myriad faults, I've not seen a politician since Reagan that has the ability to connect with 'common' folk the way Trump does.
As for Saban, the next time (if ever) Bama and UGA meet in Atlanta, UGA might have a chance. Saban was as good of a coach as has ever been - at any level.
Eric, I am a soon to be 72 year old and I totally agree with you. Come on, boomers! It's time to hand the reins to the younger folks. And besides, they cannot make a bigger mess of things than us boomers.
You will be old one day and probably will still want to be productive. I will not be around to hear you but hope that you will read some of your own comments. Be respectful.
Any more, it seems that being President of the United States is one of the least productive jobs on earth. In my lowly position as financial director of a non-profit, I'm helping more people than Biden - and hurting far fewer.
Dear Ms. McCord: I am almost 72 years of age and I still work full time. It is a privilege to do so. There are many ways to still be productive, but when it comes to important positions of power, one can relinquish and still find other ways of being productive. The younger folks are very capable of taking over ands quite frankly, American leadership has become somewhat calcified. We need to hand the reins of power to the younger folks. No disrespect intended by Eric or anyone else, for that matter. It's time to move on.
Congratulations to Mr. Saban on a mighty fine career. There is something to be said about people who retire when they are on top. Hopefully he can just go quietly into the night. There are way too many “experts “ out there who think their opinions matter. I don’t care what job that they are retiring from.
Didn’t watch the debate or the town hall. I have already made up my mind. I want someone who has accomplishments not someone who just talks about what they are going to do.
Why just 90? My mother was still driving Dad's car at 94 and I took it away from her right after she turned 95 and she lived to just two week short of 102. That is my goal. I still drive all over and on long trips even.

I love Mary Katherine Ham. I want to bear her children.

The younger folks will probably accept that challenge! ;(
And I have seen evidence that they are up to the challenge.
Not only those two guys but a number of other Congress critters as well.

Amen.
Too late. We seem to love our two 80-year-old geezers who want to stay in power forever and ever. What a choice.
It's like watching a train wreck about to happen. You see it coming and are helpless to prevent it and just know it's going to be awful.
Eh, the polls might argue that point. But they are horrible choices.
One man has class and the two others…
Short and to the point. That point will be missed or ignored by many. Well done, sir.

DeSantis all the way.
Yes. Please.
Priceless!!
I fully agree as I have been Blessed for doing just that.
I did it 22 years ago as I am 90 this year.
