Who kidnapped the real Trump and substituted this Buffon?

How is this deal MAGA, the beneficiaries are China and the EU? What good is a strong military and energy independence if you fail to use them to your advantage. Does anyone in Greenland take seriously DJT’s desire to guarantee freedom of navigation in their part of the world? Maybe he wants to set up a toll scheme with them to assure the high seas are open to extortion!

Our enemies get billions and our ally gets terror and body bags. Sorry Mr. President, you’ve lost me. At your next WH event perhaps Don Jr. can debate Ted Cruz on the content of the MOU as opposed to your original intent.

I do not see Rubio staying past the end of the year. I think he would like to be President and will likely begin to separate himself from President Trump on certain decisions made; starting with Iran. This has been my choice for President for years - I think the guy can be a difference maker.

There were two ways to go here - wipe out Iran’s nuclear capabilities on the short term, or wipe the entirety of Iran off the map. I honestly believe that neither Trump nor Obama wanted to kill the people of Iran. And that’s the holdup. Should Trump get rid of the entire country, because those people have no clue how to remove their own regime? Because that’s the only way to stop them. Obliterate the whole lot of them off the face of the Earth, because Iran will always be propped up by China and Russia, we all know that. Iran will always have nuclear capability. China and Russia use them specifically to strike fear in the hearts of us all - they see them as a bunch of maniacs willing to do the dirty work - terrorize nations. People live there, Erick, what is Trump supposed to do to satisfy you? All that can be done short of obliteration is continue to bomb their nuclear capability, even if it’s inside a mountain. Take out the mountain.

"There were two ways to go here - wipe out Iran’s nuclear capabilities on the short term, or wipe the entirety of Iran off the map."

There was a third way, if what Erick said was true: Israel had a plan to eliminate the regime while they and us delivered a crippling blow militarily. But Trump listened to Turkey and someone else and decided that decapitation was not a viable option. So we started the war with one hand tied behind our back, so to speak.

Dazed&Confused's avatar

Thanks for your response. I’m of the sort who cuts to the chase. While I appreciate Israel’s desire to take them all out, I happen to agree that decapitation is not viable. Those people are crafty. They hide in mountains, or tunnels, or holes in the ground. It’s just too much to ask, for Obama and now Trump. Nobody will get them all, even if their entire country is obliterated, and Israel needs to come to that realization and stop using its allies for exercises in futility. I believe the answer is that every six months or so, one or some of Israel’s allies go bomb their progress. Eventually, maybe, they’ll give up. I know, easy for me to say …

I said it before, and I will keep saying it. Trump is so enamored with being seen as a dealmaker that he was willing to be seduced to make any deal - even a horrible one. And this is a HORRIBLE deal. About the only saving grace is that Trump might be willing to resume bombing if Iran violates the deal while Obuma never would. But because he wants to be a dealmaker so badly, he might not.

Glen Franklin Koontz's avatar

It is not a deal. It is a framework to negotiate a deal.

I agree with all of your points stated above. Additionally you made the point that Trump did not bomb bridges and roads or civilian buildings. If that's the case what is the $300 billion rebuilding fund going to be used for, you asked. Good question..

I am still dumbfounded that Trump "appointed" a full-blown terrorist to deal with Lebanon, saying Israel should get out. Trump doesn't have the authority to push Israel around. But why make a public announcement shaming Israel and saying that the terrorist will do a better job? It seems that Trump is taking orders from Iran and/or those that have power over Iran.

This is curious but we probably won't see the end of this for a few years when all hell may break loose. Scary proposition.

Thank you Marguerite! 👏

This deal is a farce. Can Congress say no? Can we the people say no?

Glen Franklin Koontz's avatar

There is no deal. There is only a framework to negotiate a deal.

Debra's avatar

During the 3rd hour Erick shared Hezbollah attacked Israel. Again. No deal indeed. Apparently no framework of any importance either. How will Trump WH deal with this?

Glen Franklin Koontz's avatar

Why will the Trump WH deal with it? Israel was attacked. I am confident that it will respond.

Southern Planter's avatar

But it is certainly not a framework to negotiate a good deal, is it, Glen?

Glen Franklin Koontz's avatar

Maybe, maybe not. We don't know now, do we?

Southern Planter's avatar

Everyone that can read the MOU knows. Did you read it, Glen?

Glen Franklin Koontz's avatar

Yep. And it is nothing but a framework. Not binding on anyone. You are just so eager for the President to fail you cannot stand it. And if it takes the country down too, you do not care, because it is all about you getting your jollies off your irrational hatred.

Southern Planter's avatar

I don't have to be eager for Trump to fail. He has already failed.

I have voted for Trump 3 times, I probably support 70% of his actions. But at this point to quote Bugs Bunny, "What a Maroon!" The U.S.A. has owed Iran a ASS Whoopin for 47 years. This was the perfect time to do it and do it right! There has never been another time that the regions Arab nations would support the U.S. and Israel ending the rule of the Islamic radicals. And President Trump has squandered it! Pray for Marco Rubio's health and safety. JUST DAMN!!

Your not comparing apples to apples. Obama did this with no leverage what so ever. Paid cash. Let them play musical chairs while enriching uranium. Trump took out their Airforce and Navy. They think they are winning because they can threaten a few ships in the straits. And launch a few hidden scuds at their neighbors. While cutting off their own oil supplies (foot). Trump will enforce actions. Their nuclear stockpile of enriched uranium is under miles of rubble... This is a memorandum, its not preclude to a possible deal. Thats all.

Southern Planter's avatar

Not that you meant to be, but you are correct. This MOU is so bad that it will PRECLUDE a possible GOOD deal.

Listen I have a job and other things to do unlike a lot of liberals who have all day to complain and write about it. Plus they are so smart, they have more degrees then the rest of us deplorables, they have excellent writing skills and math, (well the ones who are not DEI, I think most of them are below grade) that is why we have so many social science graduates... This is so they can do a lot of really smart things like elect Biden, support communism and socialism, open borders, defund police, let men compete as women, triple inflation, rig corrupt elections, drive up energy cost with failed green energy scams....

Thanks for the lesson.

Southern Planter's avatar

Indeed. Wouldn't it be a much better world if everyone was uneducated? ;)

I said this when it started we have to finish this war for everyone, the Iranian people, the middle eastern countries and Europe and it was going to take boots on the ground. Now we get to go through this again against a stronger enemy down the road in a few years and nobody will enforce any agreements in this deal.

Proud Patriot's avatar

Trump has lost his ever loving mind! You cannot start a war, expecting to win, without having a plan to win in place. Even a common person like myself can see the utter stupidity in everything that has followed those first few days of the US/Israel strikes back in February. A country run by a hateful religious regime will NEVER come to peaceful terms with the US, Israel or any of our allies. Can you not see that handwriting on the wall?! Obviously not. THIS is a bad deal with Iran. We can open the Strait of Hormuz and keep it open. It’s just a matter of taking out and eliminating Iran at least along the coast.

$300 Million dollars is a horrific and criminal act of stupidity and on the verge of treason. So ridiculous.
