I find it stunning that the AP will willingly (blindly) accept health statistics from Hamas while questioning Covid statistics from Ron DeSantis and the Florida Dept of Public Health.

It's a shame they were warned to get out

Great move by the IDF! No “mother may I” from the Biden/Harris regime.

This situation doesn't surprise me, unfortunately.

My first reaction is: gee, not surprising. Maybe I have become a bit jaded. I put no trust in the mainstream media sources at all. I stopped watching them. I don't read them on my newsfeed with rare exceptions. They are not to be trusted. Period.

Doesn't Hamas operate out of civilian buildings?

Expand full comment

Yes, it does, as does Hezbollah in Lebanon. It also puts its rocket launchers next to, and sometimes on the property of, schools, mosques, hospitals, and other civilian buildings so that if Israel attacks those launchers, Hamas will be guaranteed civilian deaths and casualties it can trumpet to the world as "proof" of Israeli "brutality", secure in the knowledge that its Amen Corner in the world Leftmedia will decry Israel in unison, all the time ignoring Hamas' cynically and inhumanely placing innocent lives in jeopardy.

As I write this, Israel is massing ground troops on the Israel-Gaza Strip borders in preparation for a possible ground offensive. If Hamas doesn't stop their rocket attacks immediately, I am convinced that Israel will invade - and this time, it will be a long time, if ever, before it leaves.

Many years ago, then-Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir was asked when there would be peace between her nation and the Arab states. Her reply was simple - and absolutely true. She said of the Arabs, "There will be peace when they love their children more than they hate us." That is as true now as it was then.

I was a journalism major in college (UGA Grady School of Journalism) and I was taught to believe that journalists were held to a high standard of objectivity, fact based reporting and should remain at a great distance from conflicts of interest. It continues to astonish me that organizations like the AP, that once were held up as bastions of factual reporting, that other news organizations used as the source for TRUTH and ACCURACY, are now hip-deep in the mire of political and partisan muck. I have no faith in any media outlet at all except for individuals like you and several others who break it down and pull back the scrim (scum) to shine the light on all this dark behavior. It's disgusting and so disappointing to see this happening in the larger world.

I call it "The Great American Leftmedia" for a reason, Sandra.
