So now for confession time. I got another clot in my lungs two weeks ago. It was small. Honestly, they weren’t too worried about it. The problem was really that my lungs just swelled up, which also made breathing difficult. I assumed I was having an asthma attack, but it just never went away.
Remember, your first responsibility is to the Lord. Your family is next, and your family includes taking care of yourself, you’re a part of the family. Your job, your listeners, your subscribers...yes, they’re responsibilities, but not the main ones.
Here in Texas we have a congressional runoff on July 27th. One of the candidates, a Naval Academy graduate and former Navy fighter pilot, is a state representative, and a special session is going to put him at a disadvantage because he will lose 30 days of campaigning. His opponent is a long-time Republican activist who originally had the endorsement of the state party leadership over the other Republicans running for the same position. Donations from voters heavily favor the State Rep. Should be an interesting race.
Many prayers for you and your bride. You said that God has a sense of humor. A.Jewish friend of mine agrees, but he contends that it is somewhat twisted.
One more thing: Governor Abbott, we who don’t live in Texas are just as hopeful as the citizens of your state that you will do the one thing which will slap down Texas Democrats but good, and display to the nation that you won’t be intimidated by leftist temper tantrums, as have so many others (looking at you, Congressional Republicans). So, PLEASE call the special session and be done with it already.
Praying for your health and Christy's. You proved your marketability with the self-syndicated show and you proved your listenership loyalty with the noon to three. This new national syndication is the result of the first two, and now you can return to a normal workload that allows you to be present with your family.
I imagine there will still be an adjustment to a new routine and a national presence, but you are well-prepared. Continue the tradition of excellence in broadcasting begun by your friend. The 12-3 syndicated slot is in good hands.

Dittos on the prayers, Erick; hopefully the new schedule will ease the burden on both of you. On another subject, I hate how the MSM has co-opted words in order to change the dialogue. Changing the word "immigrant" to include illegal aliens, for instance, is a good example. We are, in fact, a country of (mostly) legal immigrants, but the more inclusive definition of "immigrant" completely changes the meaning of that phrase. Likewise, let me say how disgusted I am that the word "patriot" has been co-opted by the right to sell everything from cruises to this bat-Schlitz crazy "For God and Country Patriot Roundup." Of course, marketers would never do it if it didn't work, so shame on those who buy into it.
Yep, absolutely! Speaking of Alinsky, I LOVED the fact that Trump often used "Radicals" strategies against the left, specifically the mockery. It drove them NUTS that their own playbook was being used against them!

Take care of yourself. Don’t let success be your downfall. Work using modern technology. Working six hours straight burns you out fast. Tough even for the young and healthy. Can you tape part of the six hours the night before after you have rested? When I was a news junkie, I listened to podcasts on demand and never live. Unless you do call ins, it doesn’t have to be live.
