I’ve been saying for about a year that we are experiencing a multidimensional political realignment that will completely reshape politics. Rich, white, urban, elites are shifting to the Democratic party as the party embraces woke ideology and doubles down on climate change. Black and Hispanic voters are feeling alienated by an increasingly progressive Democratic party and have started warming to the GOP.
A Democratic pollster thinks I’m wrong. This pollster compared the 2020 general election with the 2022 GOP primary to prove that Hispanics are moving away from Republicans. Here’s why I’m still right:
The trend is beginning to appear among African Americans, but perhaps to a lesser degree at this time. The catch is this: That trend only became visible so long as Donald Trump was around. This fits well with the fact that for the time being, the more populist, multiethnic and multiracial GOP seems to be a creation of Trump, and no other Republican has been able to develop it. It's equally obvious that this trend is anathema to the National review reading GOP establishment almost as much as it is anathema to Democrats.
Perhaps Ron DeSantis, who has been appealing to Florida's large Hispanic and Black populations, can keep this going on a national stage. If not, then this will die with Trump.
there are a few democrats like my sister who will stick with Biden no matter what, but a lot of black voters are starting to look at life under Trump and see it was not that bad
