Every time I have to read about the implosion of Star Wars, I go watch "Rogue One" and try to forget about it. If you're really interested in the woke destruction of Disney and Star Wars, there are some very good YouTube channels that do some good deep dives...
Good...burn it all down. I stopped going to Disney and buying from Disney back in the mid-1990s when all this wokeness was in its infant stage. As far as I'm concerned, if the closed it all down - that would be a great thing for America.
Woke is the strategy of the low talent, less hard working, malcontents to take socioeconomic positions from those with real productive work ethic, merit and talent.
Erick I can imagine you helping your parents The only rural area of Louisiana I know is between Harrisonburg and Jena. There was a missionary couple that served in Africa for 36 years. The lady ( Wana Anne) was from Harrisonburg.
She wrote a book called 1000 times Yes. It’s on Amazon.
I met them as a kid. My mother we to High School with Wana Anne. The Book is good.
The CEO appears to be practicing "leadership by committee". From a career in the Army (and lots of leadership training) two thoughts come to mind: 1. Bob Iger would do well to practice the adage "when in charge, take charge" and 2. as an inexperienced young officer, I had a very wise NCO tell me
"if you pass by a soldier not acting to standard, always correct them - if not, you just set a new lower standard". Don't know where the bottom is for Disney, but we find out soon enough unless the CEO starts acting like a true leader.
Science fiction/fantasy is only good to me when it’s logical and consistent in its contrived universe. It helps you accept the boundaries of the fantasy physics, so you can enjoy it while you’re immersed in the story. Making contradictory statements about a feature of that universe within the plot is just lazy and inept storytelling and loses the bulk of fans.
This happened for me with Star Trek Discovery, which highlighted early on gay relationships and then focused on a ridiculous star ship drive based on fungus (?), instead of warp drive which was a staple of Star Trek for decades. Fans hated it so much they had to move the series plot to the 30th century, I believe, so it wouldn’t further mess up continuity in the 23rd/24th centuries. I stopped watching after about five episodes because of the silliness and the need to get all intersectional, with an otherwise great idea for the ship’s captain.
I am so weird, I never watched Star Wars.
You know what hasn’t changed? Baseball.

Enjoyed the post, Erick. Uh, while you're in the Louisiana wilderness, lighten up! Enjoy the woods!
//s//sent from a house on a dirt road in the wilderness of south Georgia. (and my pronoun is well-educated-redneck and humbled by it!)

Too much nerd? Sorry 😂
What is it with straight white progs thinking that they have the best gaydar?
Reminds me of Neal Boortz's old "Lesbian Detector" bit.
Well, Texas is better off today because you are closer to us right now!
It only stops when the only audience they get are the few who like this garbage. They need to lose everyone else. And I do mean everyone else.
And this might be my most favorite thing you've ever written.
Re: "A cave burned down. Yes, the cave was stone. But it burned down. Perhaps it identified as wood."
Dang..... you beat me to it 🤣🤣🤣
(I only laugh to keep from crying over what has happened to my beloved Star Wars)
Re: "Notably, the infamous Star Wars: Holiday Special gets a 20% audience score."
Are you sure that isn't -20% (NEGATIVE 20%)?
