I’ve heard the opposite conclusion: that the Harris campaign is so confident of sweeping the 7 battleground states that they’ve moved to supporting congressional candidates. Seems far fetched but some are saying this.
Erick, in your efforts to keep the faithful fired up and optimistic about Trump's chances, you're beginning to embarrass yourself. Nobody gives up on a race that is polling within the margin of error.
Oh and by the way, you heard it here first: Harris is going to win Florida.
She actually said on an NBC interview this morning that Joe just had a bad debate and anyone can have a bad debate. To my surprise the interviewer actually followed up and asked basically if it was just a bad debate why are you here? Shouldn’t Joe still be here if was just a bad debate? She took a few seconds and then said “I am running for President.” And to be honest, she seems to have aged significantly in the last few weeks.
I don't know - I hail from Pennsylvania and have been involved in politics there for a long time. I'm seeing some things going on (by Democrats) in the collar counties that are concerning. Maybe she's 'giving up' because she knows that her people on the ground will make it happen.
I think Erick's experience tells him that you don't do so during the last moments of a close election. You do that earlier, or later, as now, if you are either way ahead or pretty sure you're going to lose.
Donald Trump is holding a massive rally at Madison Square Garden in NY city on Sunday Oct 27, a state he won’t win? So, is he throwing in the towel? Probably not.
Have you ever noticed Democrats talk about helping the middle class but never define where the middle class starts or where it ends. Now I know I can look it up but you will never get an answer from a Democrat.
So for the record: For her entire career to date, should she lose this campaign, it was only Californians (and North Carolinians) that actually voted her into office. Not the rest of the country.
The Biden campaign only picked her to win over voters in NC...the same state that is bitterly suffering from Helene, ironically.
Hopefully this won’t be the last time that progressive Californian values go to die on a major ticket.
Hopefully so Erick & thank you so much for sharing your thoughts here! Color me cautious, but as the old saying goes, "it ain't over until the fat lady sings" and two weeks can seem like a lifetime in politics--most especially in national-level presidential elections. That said, looking at expanded early voting & absentee voting, some key battleground states (like GA) have already seen ~25% of registered voters cast ballots already...so the closer we get to November 5th, the more voter preferences are truly 'baked in' to the overall election results, making the last few days of a campaign arguably less impactful than 2-4 weeks ahead of the actual election day when early voting kicks off.
Congratulations. Since Trump is going to win you can now be intellectually consistent and leave the presidential ballot blank in keeping with your conviction that Trump is unfit to hold the office.
This is what Erick has suggested Double Haters like me do. Skip the presidential ballot and vote the rest. This sends a message to the parties when they analyze the votes cast.

I do not think I agree. This is too close. and i hope it is not 2016 the other way.
I used to get email from Erick every morning that somehow stopped. I am a subscriber.

If Harris wins Florida it’s a landslide
This was on National Review today. Dem senators in OH, WI, MI touting their work with Trump.
Maybe they've not been answering Harris's calls for campaign rallies in their respective states.

I am looking at morning TV in (national)
Plymouth WI . Reports as to her activities are different (campaigning with Obama?).
Not sure about your sources. She is in Atlanta today either Obama and Springsteen. Doesn’t sound like giving up to me.

Wow
So, when Trump went to California and New York it was simply to support congressional candidates but when Harris does it she's throwing in the towel?

I don’t believe it. Too on the nose, otherwise my wife was correct “she never wanted the job”. I told my wife she was crazy. She’s actually correct.

Or Erick could man up (which I’m sure he will) and not shy away from difficult decisions life throws at you…
That would be stupid. We must all vote and send a message we will not tolerate their crazy policies

Coming from someone who thinks Trump is a womanizing narcissist. But I’m voting for policy not personally.
Policy debates become moot when the rule of law is at risk.
These should be listed as in-kind contributions on those candidates FEC reports. (Yes, I know they won’t but if she’s finished, then why not?)
