Folks, Mark A. McCall is obviously a Luzer. His hatred of Trump is eating him up, and doesn't realize that Trump lives rent-free in his head. LOL

You nailed it EE. Your start to this post is what a guy like SP on here just doesn’t get and hates. Trump is all these things and just as you noted, makes Dems and those that hate him, like SP and Dan, so mad and yet can’t understand why he was voted in place of Harris. Totally with you about Trump. On one hand it sucks. On other hand makes Merkley and others look like complete idiots. On other hand, as you note, Iran wants to destroy us.

Look at the flags. Six weeks ago, when this began, the people waved the Persian flag, with the Lion and Sun. Today the pictures are the Islamic flag again, with swords and the words of the Takbir again. The people are still oppressed, and the radical leadership is angrier and more determined than ever.

Pretty spit on analysis of Trump. The o e thing I differ on with you is that I believe there is method in his madness. I believe he fully understands that Iran will continue to build the bomb, and they will! And, I believe he is committed to regime change. The rhetoric is to confuse and maybe by time. But, you are 100% correct, the Iranian regime is fully committed to the destruction of Israel, the US and then all infidels. They say it openly, their actions in the past support and the other Muslim countries around them agree. What’s amazing to me, almost comical, is the Parkinson’s type syndrome that the Left has from mental whiplash. That shows the level of psychotropicness they have. I think I penned a new word. If you don’t think that the Left is mental just listen to them.

unfortunately, it looks to average individuals who many do not grasp the thinking behind Trump's latest move and the deal that was broker looks to be bad. there is a saying in politics, that "perception is reality".

I must add that this not ONLY emboldened Iran, but the entire "resistance." Hamas will fight harder; Hezbollah will fight harder, the Iraqi Shia's. and the Houthies... more. They see this as a religious victory.

What about the Iranians? Iran's powers-that-be placed members of the populace on bridges and around power plants - literal human shields. Iran is victorious.

As for the strait, this is the reason why Iran wants control of that strait. I thought we had 40+ yr old plans for how to handle a closed strait?

What about the lives we lost? The ones in the Gulf States, and especially Israel who got hit the hardest?

What level of retribution against the people are we going to see, now, because we didn't finish?

"What is the point of what we did if this is it?"

Exactly. This really infuriated me when I read about it last night, including the 10-point crap, which I heard via Sky News Britain. I'm angry again after reading this this morning.

About this 10-pt plan. It's Iran maximalist positions. From Al-Jazeera:

While the full 10-point plan has not been made public, Al Jazeera’s Diplomatic Editor James Bays has reported that it includes the following:

*Fundamental commitment to non-aggression from the US.

*Controlled passage through the Strait of Hormuz in coordination with the Iranian armed forces, which would mean that Iran retains its leverage over the waterway.

*An acceptance of Iran’s nuclear enrichment programme.

*The lifting of all primary and secondary sanctions and resolutions against Iran.

*End of all resolutions against Iran at the International Atomic Energy Agency.

*End of all resolutions against Iran by the United Nations Security Council.

*The withdrawal of US combat forces from all bases in the region.

*Full compensation for damages suffered by Iran during the war – to be secured through payments to Iran by ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

*The release of all Iranian assets and properties frozen abroad.

*The ratification of all these matters in a binding UNSC resolution.

This is what Trump calls a “workable basis on which to negotiate" ?!!

Trump will not agree with any of these. He is trying very hard to avoid further military action. But he will not quit without full control over their nuclear program and an open Strait. Count on it. Don't be swayed by what Trump says, but rather what he does.

Too many Americans act like everything in real life can be resolved in 60 minutes like a TV crime show. The “war” was barely 5 weeks old. BUT, I do believe we were running low on munitions and need to re-supply. And this two weeks gives time for the Marines to arrive from the West Coast. Then Trump can say nothing was solved and start again. Meanwhile, did Israel and the others agree to the cease fire?

Rachel's avatar

Israel did agree (though not to her fight with Hezbollah). I don't know that Netanyahu had much of a choice but to go along.

Erick, has anyone in the public seen the 10-point plan?

Our president is blunt and sometimes even crude in his comments and tweets. But he is not naive, in fact he is extremely strategic in his actions and thought process. It is my sincere hope and belief that he is not fooled by the Iranians. Simply, I want to believe he is playing chess with them, while still understanding the ideological difference between Iran and North Korea, such that he will not allow them to rebuild there military arsenal, nuclear ambitions and that includes removing their current nuclear stockpile along with this murderous, hateful regime. These next couple weeks will tell the tale. What a waste this all would have been if we wind up with another more elaborate agreement like Obama made with Iran several years ago. Hope & 🙏
