I would never say I'm glad my Dad has passed, but I am glad he's not around to see what this country has become. He nearly lost his life in Korea, and I can only imagine what he would now think of the country he loved.
All are created equal, it's just some are more equal than others. Hearkening back to Animal Farm, "Four Legs Good, Two Legs Bad" eventually morphing to "Four Legs Good, Two Legs BETTER".
Great column today, Erick. One thing, though. Assuming that your columns are forwarded to others and so they wind up in a great many hands, you might want to consider defining some terms more bluntly. One example is "ethnic cleansing". That doesn't sound nearly as awful as it is and some, maybe many, will simply gloss right over it. And that would negate some of the powerful messaging.
The only way this stops is a total boycott of Disney, Nike and Apple. I dumped Disney stock a while back because of this. My kids now buy Pumas or Adidas. No more Nike. And I’m done with Apple. My wife and kids gave Apple the bird about six months ago. When my contract is up, I’ll be writing from the new Samsung. Seriously, e ergo we needs to do this. Let them go to China.
Yep, I've boycotted Nike products for several years now. Never have been an Apple fan, nor owner. The problem is, today's corporate is comprised so much of amoral and immoral people without an idea of anything outside their little realm. I've been worried about this for over 2 decades, and it is here. And corporate steers so many lives the world over, but particularly here in the USA. And with so many sheeple with their eyes wide open peering at ads on their slave-made iPhones and iPads, the rest of us need to step up our messaging about the nastiness today's corps shrug their shoulders about.
"And they will call evil good" "As in the days of Noah"...their thoughts and activities are only ever on evil. Welcome to the days we are living in. So sad for our society and what it is leading to.
The far left has always had a strange "blind spot" when it comes to what they consider socially unjust, evil, etc. I first noticed this years ago when leftists/liberals etc. always denigrate, slur, and have total disgust for Christians due to views regarding abortion, homosexuality, etc...but never criticize cultures or religions that believe in female circumcision/mutilation, honor killings of daughters that have premarital sex, stoning of women and homosexuals, genocide, etc. This type of hypocrisy blows my mind. The trans issue is similar.
I discussed Lia and the swimming competition with my 13 year old daughter. Lia went through puberty as a male. My daughter sees clearly that Lia has a physical advantage, even with hormone blockers. ..... I'm just gonna say it- Penis (male chromosome) has no place in women's sports.
This is what you get from situational ethics (i.e., the absence of absolute morality). Two quotes from the founders come to mind. John Adams: "Our Constitution was made for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." And James Madison: Our Constitution requires "sufficient virtue among men for self-government," otherwise "nothing less than the chains of despotism can restrain them from destroying and devouring one another." Once God was removed from the equation, the rest was a foregone conclusion.
The corporate mavens would have no problem dancing w/ the devil so long as it increased the yield on their options. It has nothing to do w/ any of the people impacted by these scenarios, what's best for their company in the long run, the country or the world.
Bottom line is there is no way to change the gender of a human. Biologically the chromosomes can never be changed. And those chromosomes determine your muscle and bone strength. No matter what hormones you try to inject, the difference in the body makeup will not change.
But all this transgender stuff, crime outbreak, etc goes back to the main problem- the demise of the family! Family teaches us all about love and respect for ourselves and others. The demise of the family is at the root of every problem we have in this world today.
Everyone has a "right" to be who they are, who they want to be and what they want to do in life; AS LONG AS IT DOES NOT INFRINGE ON OTHER PEOPLES RIGHTS AND SAFETY. As far as the Progressives at Disney walking off in protest, we need to ask how much their UNION is paying them.

All of this is willful insanity imposed upon us. "Though this be madness, yet there is method in ‘t."

Totally agree. Addiction is scary.
freedom without a moral compass is dangerous

You took the words right out of my mouth. You are so right. Come Quickly Lord Jesus.

Any sex education should be up to the parents. Schools are for reading, writing and arithmetic!

Sorry but Lia Thomas is like Jackie Robinson trying to become Miss America.
It truly denigrates Jackie Robinson's achievements, too.
