Now that any "journalist...aka propagandist" references "scientists", "doctors", "experts", I pretty much tune them out, unless they show they have done due diligence to quote "experts", "scientists", "doctors" from both sides (which they never do). Few "journalist" perform true investigations these days and only push their (or their puppet master's) ideology.

Erick,

May I suggest that, in the future, you refer to these folks as 'fact-checkers' or 'alleged fact-checkers'?

Who fact checks the fact checkers?

You ignorant mouth breathing troglodyte, fact checkers are beyond reproach and have credentials to prove it.

I grew up in Macon. I remember very clearly in the 80’s having many days over 100 degree weather. I googled it and I was right. So these temps are nothing new. Took our kids to Arizona approx 20 years ago. Temp one day was 114 but it didn’t feel like it because humidity was 5%. Not like middle GA with 85-90% humidity.

Many Atlanta area record highs are from 1980. I remember that July-August with horror.

Yes, there were several years in the 80’s like that.

I was a still young Atlanta firefighter. Our station had no A/C in the bunk room and we had a Chief of Operations who insisted we wear full turnouts while on the no A/C apparatus. It really sticks in my memory!

I think you're ALL fools! Per Greta Thunberg's warnings, I've purchased future beach-front property in Nebraska! You're gonna' be so jealous when you see the ROI on that decision! Of course, there was the now-defunct ski resort in South Florida that I invested in back in '72....

I became aware of this event when the respected person you have referred to (I believe it's the same person) issued the information in mid-July (or so). the information concerning the Hunga-Tonga eruption makes much more sense to me than the claim of manmade climate change. Thank you for this very good rebuttal! God works in mysterious ways.

"the scientific gold standard of peer review"

Lately, as biased and/or corrupt as the 'Scientific Community' is, the 'gold standard' is more like 'fools gold.'

Outstanding! She’s another fraud.

Didn’t Dallas TX have 52 straight days of over 100 degrees back in 1980? She can’t recall this because it was before her time so it didn’t happen.

As a recent meme I saw put it (something to the effect of):

Weather forecast 30 years ago. 98 degrees and sunny - “Perfect Beach weather.”

Weather forecast today - 98 degrees and sunny - “we are all going to die from climate change.”

I like it. “Fact” checker my butt. The left has the same mind set as lemmings. If they said it it must be true.

Rachel and Erick,

"it's the weather stupid!". I've lived through 79 years of weather. Hot summers, cool summers; winters with snow over my head to lack of snow; wet summers, dry summers. It's the weather and it will be like this for another million years. Regarding wildfires - read the truth on wildfires. How they start; who started them and arsonists involvement. National Geographic did several articles on this. We go through El Nino and El Nina. Re: Hunga Tonga Volcano, did you read the data from the Mt. St. Helen volcano. The affects: We had a cool summer and cool summer across Europe. You have scientists on the right and on the left - I followed their predictions since 1970 and nothing they predicted came true. Follow the money and who is making it and who will suffer from following their suggestions! And the U.N. putting their two cents in this, who the heck are these people telling us what to do. Spend your time on where we need your help: Crime, Homelessness, Poor education, Censorship, deterioration of the inner cities and dividing people. That's the crisis in our country. All talk and no real action. Americans will take care of each other, like we always have. Study the destruction of our landscape and nature from wind turbines and solar panels and mandates from Government. Plant a tree!

You spend way more energy and time on these people than they deserve but then you do it so we don't have to. Thank you Erick. It is part of the service I gladly pay for here on Substack. I would be VERY interested to know what, if anything she writes about you and her "fact checking" efforts on this subject? I'll wager they are both uncomplimentary and out of context.
