The Anderson Cooper whom you so claim to respect, Erick, is the same man who complained on air about getting his coiffure mussed up by the people in Cairo's Tahrir Square while in another part of that location, Lara Logan was getting gang raped. I find it surpassingly hard to have any sympathy for the "poor man".

"Japanese and Chinese descendants lean Democrat." And why, exactly, would Americans of Japanese descent favor the party which, less than 100 years ago. took over 100,000 of their ancestors and placed them in the American equivalent of concentration camps due to clearly racist motives?

The events of January 6, 2021 stand alone in U.S. history. That an attempt to usurp the peaceful transfer of power was encouraged, if not instigated, by a sitting president makes it unique. Republican attempts to ameliorate the political damage of Democratic Party hyperbole can only succeed with a repudiation of Donald Trump. I'm not going to hold my breath.

3rd paragraph from the bottom: "...Texas and Florida are more likely than California..." Needs a re-write for clarification.

Outrageous hyperbole is the currency of the left at this point. Anything to get the public's eyes and ears first. Outrage is the consumable, hyperbole purchases it.

The good news: what they claim is obviously hyperbolic.

The bad news: many Americans today appear to lack the cognitive faculties to distinguish fact from fiction, historical setting and context from incorrectly projecting today's beliefs on history lacking all historicity. Above all, a recognition there truly is a right and a wrong.

With no external measure for good decision-making, people cast about blindly to one another looking for answers. Sadly, bully pulpits with false information abound.

Pray for revival - only when God's People re-focus on Him do we anchor ourselves against the wind and waves of prevailing thought and the accompanying hyperbolic squall. Being salt and light to a faithless world is not always glamorous, nor much fun, but it is our calling.

Joe Manchin can end all the blather from the press in a heartbeat. All he has to do is give Mitch a call and say "I'm switching sides." Then is is 51 to 49. Pestering and criticizing him constantly is a sure way to motivate his decision to do so. And why not? In the 2020 election almost 75% of the West Virginia votes went to Trump. There would be a ticker tape parade for him down the streets of Charleston if he made this switch. While one can argue that he is currently in a powerful position his power is situational and temporary. He can solidify this with some hard bargaining with McConnell. Keep pushing Democrats. Oh, and while you are at it pester Sinema also.

The "long game" being played by the far left is concerning. There are examples of, "difficult to believe ideas" going back many years that were reported as facts. This reminds me of the frog placed in cool water on a stove top burner who doesn't realize it's slowly being boiled to death. Why is it not concerning to more people that Fauci, in Dec. 2017, predicted

a pandemic during Trump's first four years?

The inclusion of pictorial illustrations is a very good “add.” I know you understand balance well. It adds a bit of visual “oomph” to the piece. Well laid out & excellent use of logic & facts……..too bad you’re an oppressor……Bwahahahaaa!

Racial (and sexual) identity - will it ever end...and it is doing us any good? I sure hope it ends as it doesn't do us any good. Think about all the kids that grow up being told how bad they are and having opportunity taken from them. Hiring practices that focus on minority hiring (vs who is best qualified) or college sports that give women scholarships that guys have not chance to obtain (or the fact that men's college tennis has 4.5 scholarships to women's 9).

Quite frankly, it almost appears to be purposeful...to keep division among us going.

People forget about the Puerto Rican nationalist firing guns on the House floor which makes the January 6th group who were armed with bear spray look like amateurs. The media following along with DNC talking points just reinforces what people already know, the media is the propaganda wing of the DNC. The Anderson Coopers and Jake Tappers who many figured were at least fair look more and more like Goebbels. I am waiting for the show trials where the defendant's bloody and bruised plead guilty followed by being hung by meat hooks. Hoping we never get to the latter but never thought we would get to the former issue with a media that was always a bit left-leaning but has now crossed a line. Anyone with half a brain knows that the majority of people that trespassed were more curiosity seekers and following a small band of nuts. Instead of having a January 6 commission, we should have one on the QAnon nuts. What is truly scary is people believed that crap, if they buy that they will buy anything, and this is the reason why there needs to be fair and believable media to help debunk these moronic ideas.
