Thank you for this well written article, Mr. Erickson. The GOP does want the Trans activists to leave our kids alone. I think this is very important, an issue to keep fighting for. Thank you.

Excellent. Stop letting the Biden crime family drown out what is so very crucial to this country’s surviving. Nothing will ever be done about them. They are just like the Clintons.

Mr. Erickson I wish every republican candidate out there would tattoo what you wrote on their forehead so that they could see it every morning in the mirror. The left is killing this country.

Another well-stated argument: we need not accept nor need we fund decline but rather continuously articulate fundamental values in clear and unambiguous ways.

This is where Thomas Sowell, Marco Rubio, Tim Scott, Nikki Haley, Ben Carson, and so many like-minded public and religious figures need to shine and be supported. The principles enunciated by the Founders about freedom and liberty are ever so relevant today.

"Not everything needs to be an intellectual exercise, Republicans." Says the writer possessing both common sense and a moral compass. I'm not sure what moving company is responsible for relocating Congress men and women to DC, but they seem to lose those two items quite often.

Can the remedies to restore some order even happen with Democrats in any state or federal positions of authority?? They want to ruin everything in our lives. Short of voting all the wokes and liberals out of office, what chance do we have on restoring order anywhere???

Spot on.

There are proven approaches to fixing the problem. Broken Windows has been shown to work. Any candidate running against a Dem should call out the difference in priorities and commit to adoption of Broken Windows to reduce crime, and improve quality of life.

The economy and feeling safe when I go out.

These are grafite and broken windows, these, left to liberal policies, lead to the social decline that is their culture war.

Cause and effect. The culture war is not cause, it is the effect of the success of their policies.

I want to address a different side of decline. At dusk last night a shot rang out and deer went running by my garage. Climate Inflation is causing the extinction of animals because protein is needed for People eating Tasty animals. I now need to search my property for hunters.

Yikes! There's a jerk in every group. Most hunters follow the rules. Someone shooting at deer that close to you is endangering you and your neighbors. You be careful confronting whoever did that. They ain't right.

I hold to my belief that, given the chance, the Republicans can lose in a game of basketball in which they are the only team playing. Biden did not win in 2020, Trump lost. It was his to lose. He did it to himself. A blind person saw it coming. In keeping with that tradition Trump is in the lead again for the Republican vote. He can not win in the general election. The same group that rejected him in 2020 , working women, will reject him in 2024. He has done nothing to change his approach nor change his tone. We will see a Democrat win in 2024 and Republicans will have themselves to blame. I hope I am wrong but it is not looking that way at this point in time.

I have lefty friends and they say the same about the democrats. :)

For both parties, we do not elect the best or the brightest. Our elect officials demonstrate that point every day.

Very well said, Mr. U !

Well said, EWE. Your comments reminded me of the "little white lies" we all attempted to get away with as children...and how our parents corrected us. Their "correction" sure stuck with me my entire lifetime! And another thing - you speak to this often - how our society has drifted away from religion. I suspect if the majority of those adults who have embraced the secular world and way of life - and unfortunately have so taught their children - if they had only considered their ole moms & dads & how they made "religion" mandatory during childhood & thus reaped the benefits. While I drifted much during my 20s & 30s, thanks to my ancestors for giving me my Christian foundation. It's made life much sweeter in my 70s knowing "God's got me!"

Mike, you are right on and the only thing I would change is "in my late 80's knowing GOD's got me!"

Spot on, Erick. Nothing exemplifies this more than the current GOP.

This is all simple stuff, Erick. It makes me wonder about the rot gripping DC. To the point that I believe the GOP is afraid or has a horrible, horrible communications program. Not sure which it is, but either failing does not bode well for the future of the country. Case in point, different context? Comer saying they’ve identified 6 Biden decisions that leads his committee to believe we’re made due to his being compromised. I’m still waiting for item 1. If they’ve been articulated, I’d say they’ve done a terrible job. On the other hand, if they have nothing - across the board - Comer needs to go to the end of the bench. True show of incompetence up to this point…

Erick, I think we can chew gum and ride a bike at the same time. Both of the issues you spoke about need addressing.

Even on Nextdoor in Atlanta there are idiot libs defending crap graffiti along the Beltline and Freedom Parkway. Not the artistic type - the stupid tags and nonsense. For whatever reason, prog libs type have hardened hearts, guilty hearts or are just idiots. None of the rich white / liberal people in the city live what they preach. They have BLM signs in their front yard while living in a lilly white upper income area. No way are they moving to Thomasville Heights or SW ATL…. They place Climate Action now signs in front of their 4,000’ square foot homes and SUVs in driveways. White libs love a good decline as long as they aren’t actually living it or in the case of NYC subways it’s a shared experience.

We lived near L5P Atlanta in 2014 and while attending a neighborhood watch meeting, a 32 year APD Sergeant said something so simple yet so profound. She said " trash attracts trash." Clean up the vacant lots, keep the streets clean, paint over graffiti, light up the neighborhood at night. Little things are the big things.

Absolutely addressing crime should be a high priority with the GOP. But the subject of medical experimentation and mutilation of children, not to mention the toddler level indoctrination of them into this abusive, destructive gender ideology is one hell of a lot more than an "intellectual discussion". It won't matter a bloody damn bit about crime if we sit back and let the kids be destroyed. And if the GOP can't manage to deal with both crime and the destruction of kids, they are useless.

Agree totally, so let’s win! That’s Erick’s point. Talk about crime and blight in urban areas and how progressives do nothing to stop it and make those the leading points. Win the election, then deal with the rapid moral decline leading to these social issues. We must win in ‘24, so we have to be wise and listen to wise counsel as Erick gave us today.
