The effect of any positive (or negative) development in a race tends to fade over time. Coming so close to Election Day, the lack of any eroding effect over time is why the so called "October surprise" can be so devastating. Here, for example, the positive effect of Harris' debate performance has simply worn off. Republicans who have misgivings about Trump have slowly returned to the fold.
Harris' strongest argument - that is, the one that will convince wavering Republicans to stay home and drive everyone else to the polls - is the threat that Donald Trump poses to American democracy itself. (And please don't argue with me here. Although I do believe he is a threat, that is not my point. I'm just saying that this is her strongest argument.) To this point, the closest Harris has come to making it is the ad touting all the Republicans and former Trump administration officials that have endorsed her candidacy. David Plough, who engineered Obama's win in 2008 and is advising the Harris campaign, recently made reference to Harris' "closing argument," and this reinforces my expectation that her campaign is basically saving the best for last.

Happy Anniversary Erick .... Almost decided to stop here...but.....
It ain't over until the fat lady sings....
Or maybe this year it is until the Supremes come out of retirement...
Every person who cares about what will happen better vote....
And let's hope in 2028 I can vote for someone instead of against someone.
And let's pray that the Lord governs the heart of the person who must lead this nation. We deserve better than the choices we had this year. Both sides have declared if the other wins the nation is cooked. I'm afraid they may both be right. Pray that whoever it is, understands in a very short time they will give an account for every lie said, every demeaning word said, and every policy statement that wiggles their thumbs on their noses at the one who made both their noses and those fingers.
The words " God Save The King" can rightly be applied to whoever our new leader is. "God save the president". Whoever it is, needs that saving, for without it, they will have gained the world and lost their soul.
Lewis Grizzard...... Lewis..... Now that's a name I've not heard in a long, long time. Long time. I haven't heard the name Lewis Grizzard since, oh, before you were born..
To me, the discouraging thing is that, win or lose, the race is probably going to be impossibly tight, resulting afterwards in lawsuits, recriminations, and more political divisions than we have now. The term "good loser" has been completely removed from our political lexicon. :(
Congratulations, Erick, my wife and I will be celebrating #24 in a couple of weeks! The best decision I ever made!!
I think Trump is going to win by a fairly large margin. I'm seeing more and more people realizing that Kamala is just an empty suit creation of the media.
How can the Kamala campaign be so unbelievably incompetent to air that "Man Enough" ad that is being universally roasted? An obesely fat guy saying he eats carburetors for breakfast. The guy sitting like an effeminate dweeb saying he's not afraid of bears. Who could possibly have thought that was a good idea?
Happy Anniversary, Erick!

It is looking like her campaign is starting to fall apart, but 3 weeks remaining can be a LONG time!

Thank so much to all of you.
