Say what you will about Republicans, but many of them refused to wear masks ever because they didn’t believe they worked. Others refused on the “you can’t tell me what to do” principle. Other Republicans supported masks and, as COVID evolved and the vaccine spread, abandoned support for masks. Whether it was principle, conspiracy, science, or data, you knew where Republicans have stood all along. Governors like Ron DeSantis and Brian Kemp were assailed by the media for no mask mandates, etc.
James Carville has repeatedly excoriated his party for its actions. Retiring Democrat Jim Cooper of Tennessee has warned his party that it runs the risk of becoming "extinct" in rural America.
They have been warned by voices inside their house. If Democrats continue to instead pay attention to "The Squad" and the rest of the academic radical Marxists who currently are the gatekeepers of what it means to be a Democrat, then they deserve the abject humiliation they seem ready to receive in November - that is, of course, if the Republicans don't screw this up as they have screwed other such situations in the past.
So, the Democrats want to hang themselves? Fine; Let's just give them the rope and directions to the nearest tall tree, This is one time when we should NOT be our brother's keeper.
Dem strategy is easily summed up by Harry Reid when he lied about Romney-paid-no-taxes, "Worked, didn't it?" with a smirk on his face. Utilitarians employing populist rhetoric (and gas-lighting, I might add) for end-justifies-means outcome.

I read and listen to Erick, read Jeff Childer’s ‘Coffee and Covid’, subscribe to Daily Wire, and watch selected shows on Fox, particularly Tucker Carlson. And I read and appreciate well-reasoned work by those on the left, when they let their neurons work freely. So, I hope that truth will get out despite the legacy media’s attempts to curtail it. And I do largely fault the obsequious, sheep-like, leftist media for our current situation. Treating Biden with coddling like a toddler just starting to walk as they previously had nailed Trump to wall at every opportunity is so blatantly obvious that it’s hard for me to understand how ivy league educated journalists don’t see the dichotomy and are seemingly not embarrassed by it. Still on my non-ending quest to understand why journalists are almost always on the left and why they are comfortable with ignoring obvious facts. The problem is that Democrats have been lying based on polling forever.....and they still continue to win. The Dems are always united on messaging at election time. Even the "Squad" members become loyal. Their narrative scripts are repeated word for word on the MSM. Liberals are very emotional and vocal. They get in your face, intimidate, bully. Hard core blue states will never flip. Even with all of the violent crime, high taxes, infringements on liberty/freedoms that states like California endure....they will always vote Dem. It has almost gotten to the point that I can't feel sympathy for victims in cities like NY, LA, and SF because they never learn and continue to vote for the status quo. The recall failure of Newsome is just one example. So, while it is nice to see these polling numbers, I know that the tides can change quickly. Until November has passed and the Republicans are victorious....I will remain cautious...and curb any optimism.

How are they going to talk about their efforts to keep the border "safe", when they have consistently refused to make any efforts at all? Warnock's latest ad is so blatantly dishonest as to be laughable...how can he talk about his "faith" and vote for legislation that criminalizes people of faith for adhering to Biblical precepts?
