Nothing better than a well put truth!

The statement "It's hope that kills you" is not solely limited to the Democrats. Whether by subterfuge or incompetency, the Republicans are more than capable of the same results.

I cringe at the thought of what will come in a McCarthy regime in the house. Democrats do many things that are evil in our minds, but you have to give them credit for the fact that they do not wobble all over the place. Republican wolves in sheep's clothing (E.g. Lindsey Graham), milquetoast wafflers (E.g. Romney), and just plain idiots could screw up a wet dream.

I have no confidence in them beyond what I am forced to have, and their fickle and inconsistent behavior is one huge reason for Trump's success.

However, Trump's demands for fealty and demand for retribution above all else may well cost us the senate due to his poor choices of whom he endorsed. More looming disappointment on the horizon to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

I can appreciate the pragmatic pessimism. But you are speaking of an uncertain future. I will take solace that the Democrats will loose much in November and, if the Republicans can avoid tripping over themselves, the Democrats will loose all in '24.

It goes without saying that Republican disappointment is preferable to leftist control. The pragmatism you speak of is to get the pressure on up front to dissuade them from disappointment, betrayal, or both. Somehow these people need to be held accountable aside from the day of reelection.

The first job of any politician is to get reelected.

I think you are talking about electing people that actually have integrity.

Agreed, but we get what we get after the primary. Even then its not like we have a bevy of choices in the primary. Zero true honor remains. Even if you don't lie, cheat, or steal yourself, the final component is toleration and we're all guilty of that to some extent. Impossible not to be.

Spot on Erick. I prefer to have an illusory hope by the Democrats for Nov. Better them to be overconfident than Republicans. I am more motivated than ever to vote in Nov after that charade of a raid by the politicized FBI.

And also, Rick Perry’s cell phone was seized after the raid on Trump’s home. That seizure is overshadowed by the raid coverage. Congressman Perry had just called for impeachment of DOJ’s Garland. Coincidence, maybe, optics horrible certainly. Seems the democrats are raking through everything to find something to pin on Republicans before their power is gone…hopefully the first month of next year.

Yep---Scott Perry is another target of the Democrat military wing. Shame on Garland--who is on his revenge tour against Republicans for keeping him out of SCOTUS. And shame on Wray for the liar that he is.

Speaking of killing. 87,000 IRS agents are to be fully armed. It's written and they must agree to the terms to be hired. We don't need 87,000 fully armed IRS agents knocking down doors and harassing citizens. We need 87,000 ICE agents to secure our border.

Why shouldn't they have hope? I mean look around at the number of people who do not care about anything other than the latest social media challenge or manufactured outrage. I am tired of the mendacity on display among the writers of the narrative and their sycophantic fans. The establishment has worked for decades to form tools of ill-intent against those who dare to step outside of the proverbial box and call a spade a spade. Think of Robert Bork and all he endured at the hands of people who were nowhere near his intellectual equal. In fact, the current occupant of the White House was one such example of a person who could not match Bork or Clarence Thomas's intellect. Yet, Biden was repeatedly elected to the Senate and now here we are being led down a path of destruction by the serial liar who flashes his crooked smile and thinks people will overlook his mediocre talent. Why? Because they have. They have also overlooked his son's criminal behavior, his own lies, and of course the gaffes. The Left counts on their hoards who digest their news through social media apps like TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook not to mention those who have basically sold their soul to be part of the Democrat-led cool kid club, and the many who have been infected with Trump Derangement Syndrome to support their lunacy. I want men and women who will stand tall to defend what remains of our nation. I am sick of pedantic Republicans who promise they will do something, yet when the rubber meets the road they take their foot off the gas. This is why they have hope.

Thank you! I truly believe the situation is dire and that much work will need to be properly done in order to try and bring about change. I think we must actually hold our representatives accountable if they err from their duties by voting them out of office. We must also get involved in local government and elect representatives who are not afraid to craft and/or enforce laws designed to protect Americans from the spread of authoritarianism. I am not sure if the Big Government Genie can be put back in the bottle, but I am willing to try.

Just like in 1984, the Media Industrial Complex will spin this as a win for the common people. The only winners are the elites and the money managers.
