I can't say I think much of the argument against changing a congressional district from San Francisco's Richmond district for one from Bakersfield. You likely wouldn't have said much about changing the seat from Atlanta for the one from Valdosta.

On, Ye, yes, he might have canceled himself. However, it is worth considering he might be intentionally challenging freedom of speech thresholds.

Ok. Question: Could the Democrats vote in their Speaker with the Republicans fractured? Or can this be hashed out, all the bodies buried, before it goes to the floor for a vote?

If a Democrat gets the most votes due to Repubs not all voting for McCarthy, the Dem would be speaker.

That is my understanding. I'm seeing this as a bad thing. Especially giving the disarray of this past election.

I've had several bosses over the years who would say, "If you bring me a problem, bring me at least one possible solution."

Erick. (and anyone else)..if Speaker McCarthy is a problem, then who is your solution? Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) sure isn't one. He'll be speaker if all the Dems fall in line - which they usually do.

Andy Biggs isn't it. Nor is Elise Stefanik. Personally, I'd like to see Byron Donalds (R-FL.) A Black Republican as speaker would cause a collective implosion on the Left.

How many times have you seen McCarthy on Fox News yammering on and on about the investigations they are going to conduct; and there is never any follow up, such as 1) will you send subpoenas, 2) what will you do if your subpoenas are ignored, 3) if your investigations disclose corruption, negligence, incompetence or criminal activity, what will you *DO* about it?!?!?!

We need a war horse, not a show horse. There are so many very real issues facing our country right now, yet Republicans' self-stated top priority is to investigate Hunter Biden?? Look, I DESPISE this two-tiered justice system that protects the Bidens, the Clintons, the Pelosis, the Schumers, et.al., but prosecuting Hunter Biden is a luxury item at a time when most of us can't afford the necessities. Focus on the REAL issues for now and go after Hunter in 2024, assuming we haven't screwed up our chances at electing a Republican President.

The devil is in the details. Revelation is now in phase 3 of 14 steps to Christ's return. "keep the leaders addled and creators of chaos". Look to the sky!

Whenever he stares at me on the screen with the well-coiffed silver hair and exquisitely made tie, I always think of the same two words - weak, disingenuous. And I know I’m right.

Bring on term limits. Get the self satisfying dead wood out of government.

We need Walker in the Senate, regardless of how you feel about him. The progressives running the Democrat party are unconcerned with a nearly even split in the Senate. They’ll govern like they have a mandate. If the Democrats were as they used to be, I would not be as concerned. But, apparently, there are only two Democrats with sense and spine to stand up to the radicals that run things. They’re spending loads of money and flying in every top Democrat to push Warnock over, much more than is being spent to help Walker. Means they really, really want 51 seats to accomplish their plans. Those of us with financial means and/or the ability to vote in GA, let’s please help get Walker in there to limit them, if not stop them.

No. The GOP needs to learn its lesson here. You put up someone as bad as Walker when there were MANY other better candidates than the Trump-approved schizo absent father abortion finder, you gotta reap what you sow - no matter whatever whirlwind comes. “Elections have consequences.” And I’m sitting this one out.

Well, if you’re not voting for Warnock, I can understand you sitting this out. The Democrat’s current propensity for insanity, though, precludes any frustration I may have with not choosing the very best candidate. Walker will help provide a road bump to their crazy for two whole years until actual sanity can be voted back in. I’ll vote for that any day.

Sorry, bud. Not voting for Walker. If that means Stacey gets FCC chair, so be it. We get what we deserve.

Georgia GOPers were dumb enough to nominate Walker in the primary. WTAF. An utterly flawed candidate. We could have had Gary Black instead, a principled man and former Ag Comm’r who could have beat Warnock. But you dumb hick TrumpTards instead gave us an abortion-funding schizophrenic liar who can’t form a complete coherent sentence who lives in TX not GA (??) and we are gonna get absolutely shellacked in the runoff. Just watch.

We get what we deserve. Maybe, the Georgia GOP learns a lesson from it and doesn’t nominate a Trump-endorsed turd sandwich next time. But, as dumb as they are, probably not.

It has been decades since Congress (both houses) has worked for the good of the American people. I have lost faith that our Legislative Branch will return to its roots.

While I'm not a Tennessee, Colts, or Broncos fan....I do like seeing Peyton Manning on TV. He'd be my choice for Speaker.

Probably do a much better job, too!

It is high time, but highly unlikely, for a major shakeup in the GOP.

Excellent. John Boehner comes to mind when I think of really bad republican speakers. McCarthy talks a good fight but that’s all he does. Maybe you Mr. Erickson should run the Republican Party. Just a thought.
