Neocons be gone!

Wouldn't you agree with Trump that these men, particularly Fauci who has ripped off the American people, can afford to pay for their own security?

Maybe Pompeo shouldn't have sabotaged Trump's first term by pulling the security clearances of Trump loyalists making it so that, as Cernovich put it: "coup plotters could be put into the NSC...[setting] the table for the Ukraine hoax impeachment." Is this true?

Erick, love your show and notes!

I believe you may be incorrect about the fact that President Trump is not entitled to lifetime Secret Service Protection.

There was legislation that passed and limited it to ten years with GWBush being the first to be affected by that 1994 statute.

ANOTHER law was passed in 2012 and signed by BHObama in 2013 that reversed that law, again providing life-time SS protection to ALL former presidents.

No person on this planet is less deserving of government-provided protection than Fauxci. But, when you consider how poorly the Secret Service provides said protection, maybe it's not a bad idea in his case.

As January 6 proved, if the Trump mob comes after you, you need protection.

Donald Trump is a hip shooter: A ready, fire, aim guy. This worries me because it goes to the issue of credibility. Take a recent example: several times now he has stated that California has unlimited water. All they have to do is open the valves and get it from the Pacific Northwest or even Canada. This is false. A little bit of Klamath River water is used locally in Northern California. There is no connection to take this water south. This fact is easily verified by asking Chat GPT. What is even more worrisome is that it appears that none of his close associates appear willing to tell him that his water statement made over several days is wrong.

Erick: I understand that you are a lawyer, and that math may not be your forte, but "first"? Really? What about (as Trumpers like to say) pardoning cop beaters? What about nominating totally unqualified yes men and yes women to critical government posts (i.e. Hegseth being the only DOD of the last three not to receive at least a 90% confirmation)? What about his continued lying about the January 6 Committee destroying evidence? What about threatening friendly neighbors with military invasions? All of these, and more, self-destructive and unnecessary actions that any politician with an ounce of rational thinking ability would have avoided. May not hurt Trump, but his forcing other Republicans to defend such nonsense will come back to bite us in the ass in 2026, 2028, and beyond.

Planter You need to get over the DT hate. 1-6-2021 was not a DT insurrection. The so-called 1-06-2021 Committee was egregiously biased, omitted items and omitted individuals, and did some manufacturing.

"What about threatening friendly neighbors with military invasions? All of these."

Mexico is the armpit of the North American continent. They were asked to close their side of the border. What action have they taken? You say DT doesn't have an ounce of rational thinking. I would imply that is your classification. But hey again, only your opinions matter, right??

The drug cartels need to be stopped and DT intends to do so. If that is too troublesome for you, sit back and drink whatever. Hegseth will do better than the Eisenhour apprises Military Industrial Complex AWOL, Affirmative Action Austin.

The US has extended affirmative action and standards reductions post-1964-65 Acts. DT is doing away with affirmative action and rightly so. Are you related to Geoff Duncan?

I was just going to mention the the most egregious one, the pardoning of those J6ers convicted of attacking cops. But the others you mention are worthy as well.

I don't think that most of the public ever knew that this was something that the government did for former unelected officials, and I still feel uncomfortable that we provide them with this service for decades, however, I think you are 100% correct regarding the impact on finding qualified people moving forward.

Moreover, I don't think the removal of that protection needed to be broadcast everywhere. It's tantamount to an invitation to extremists and the mentally ill seeking notoriety.

Would anyone really want SS protection if they did not need it? Does not seem in any way to be a desirable perk. I mean, having a bunch of dudes with guns and earpieces following you around all the time? No thanks, unless my life depended upon it.

Correct! And I think it's very sad that these things don't get taught in high school and college. I've been saying that for most of my life. I did once go to an investment advisor who had been recommended to me. And all I got from him was that I should come back when I am retired. I wish I would have pursued it.

Of all the things I am knowledgeable about, I would have to say that saving and investing "appropriate" amounts were at the absolute bottom of the list.

Since when are we not allowed to have opinions without being trashed by one side or another? I don’t believe that you Mr. Erickson owe an explanation to anyone. Yes I don’t always agree with you but you have opened my eyes and mind to things that I never would have seen or thought of.

I never knew that people like Bolton and Pompeo had secretly teams but it makes sense. I agree that they need protection and Trump is wrong. Fauci on the other hand made millions from a disease that he helped create and millions died because of it. It may not be very Christian but he made is own bed ,let him lay in it.

We hear you! Can you stop now? Maybe his team has information you do not. Please move on.

He's playing a game of 4-D chess that we mortals cannot possibly understand, right?

The move does seem petty at best.

Thanks for the notation on that. You’ve covered this topic. Even though I agree with you it’s time to move on. Trumps going to make a lot of mistakes. He’s human.

He hasn’t addressed the trans athlete issue or men going into women’s locker rooms at all. That’s going to cost him politically if he leaves that for too long.

Move on, Erick. The cult demands that you cease criticisms of the Dear Leader.
