I just don't care. And I know who I WON'T be voting for, under any circumstances. Not circling my wagon to support this loser.

The Democrats want him nominated. This indictment is purely to solidify his base that was beginning to show cracks.

Democrats do not want to stop him from running, they want to ensure he is the nominee.

I think the Democrats and media want to keep Trump out there for the ratings and to help Biden.

Only against Trump could a baggage cart like Biden get elected.

Currently a grand jury is hearing witnesses re the January 6 insurrection. In addition to January 6, Trump also must contend with the case in Georgia and with the classified documents. This indictment reminds me of the accusation against an adulterous woman in the Bible where the men wanted her stoned to death . Jesus stated those without sin throw the first stone as he calmly wrote in the dirt their individual sins . The men left one by one until no one was left to accuse her. Jesus forgave her and told her sin no more.

John 8:3-11.

Must be a whole lot of people in New York who believe they are sinless.

Trump is a cult of personality, not a serious career politician. The talking heads are saying the indictment will hurt him. Wrong. Trump is surfing on

“There’s no such thing as bad publicity,”

~P.T. Barnum

and

“There’s only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about.”

~Oscar Wilde

If the left would just STFU about Trump he would go away.

Erick, you and I are so very much in agreement on policy. You clearly have a conservative bent. So I have struggled to understand why I find myself at odds with you so often. I’ve struggled to find the words. But I think you finally gave me clarity in this monologue. You repeated it at least 4-5 times. Now I get it. You said Trump is bad for the “GOP.” That is the Party. And that is where you go wrong. Given your background, your impulse is always to put the party first where there is conflict with policy. So on issues such as Trump, where there is conflict with the party, policy be damned. I want very much to see you follow the path that so many conservative commentators have trod, Limbaugh, Hannity, the list goes on. There was a time when Hannity could have been called the official voice of the Republican Party. Now Hannity openly disavows the party. Rush did the same before him. And you now very much have taken up the mantle. But now you must do as they did long before you. Abandon the party that deserves abandonment (at least when it’s wrong) and stand on your policy principles. When the party is unprincipled, it doesn’t deserve your support. If history is any guide, you will take this path. I would just like to see it attenuated.

"I would rather the mean tweets than being unemployed." Amen. I was laid off in November, and have not been able to find a comparable job in the tech industry as it is taking a big hit even before the recession comes.
