I heard DeSantis say he will make it "illegal to enter Florida illegally".

I want to know more about this. The intent, if I understand, is illegal aliens who illegally crossed the border somewhere and then entered Florida will be in violation of state law.

So who does that interact with

1) someone who illegally entered the U.S. more than 4 years ago or even decades ago and who is still illegal? They have there CA or OH drivers license, driving a legally registered car and get pulled over on a minor traffic violation. Or they fly in using their passport as ID. Will they be arrested?

2) someone who came here legally on a visa and over stayed their I-94. They are illegal aliens. Will they be arrested?

WALL - Deportation - my only problem with this.

Without a controlled border the BAD Criminals will just come back.

Gosh, I love Governor DeSantis and have ever since I read his book. I wanted to vote for him for President and, if he runs again, he can count on my support. Of course, I love Governor Kemp as well. They both are over-qualified in my opinion.

Superb. Would have loved 30 minutes more. The greatest governor and frankly chief executive in my lifetime (and you can tell by my nickname I go back a long way).

I can only hope that Governor DeSantis has not given up any aspirations of becoming president.
