In 1938, Hitler stole the Sudetenland from Austria on the pretext that Germans who had chosen to live in Austria actually wanted to live in Germany, but they did not want to move. That action proved to be the start of a huge war.

Now Putin is shooting at Ukraine, alleging that Russians who chose to live in Ukraine actually want to live in Russia, but they don't want to move. He is simply taking action to protect some Russian citizens who are living in Ukraine. I predict that this action is only step 1 toward a bigger grab. Sanctions will not stop this aggression any more than sanctions stopped Hitler. These aggressive tyrants don't waste energy on taking offense at insults from the world at large.

I’ve got to admit, I’m going to miss sharp analysis like this when I cancel my subscription. Has nothing to do with our division caused in large part by a former president continuing to taut the lie that the election was stolen? Or the support given by useful idiots at FoxNews?

You'll hate listen.

Russia has been sowing division for a long time. Hillary still says she won in 2016, Trump and company were just as stupid to play the card in 2020.

But that is just evidence of internal division. That doesn't tip Putin's decision to invade Ukraine.

Geopolitics move slowly.

2007 Germany, 2014 Crimea, years of murdering and jailing opponents, Europe and the US continue to do business with him, both Obama and Biden cutting our energy independence on the eco-idiots perpetuated hysteria while allowing Putin to make Europe dependent on Russia, and allowing the abject stupidity of political correctness to invade the operation of the Government and military.

If you believe this is on Trump you are the useful idiot. This is on liberal Western policies that have played out for 30 years.

Putting is playing a long game of chess, the West has been playing checkers, and grandpa Biden the dementia patient can't even keep up with that.
