AMEN and AMEN!!!

Fear is NEVER a good place from which to make reasonable and sustaining decisions. Fear makes us weak; as Frank Herbert (Dune) wrote; "...fear is the mind-killer..."

At the start of the pandemic it was understandable for people to be afraid; Covid was fairly unknown and overwhelming everyone. It didn't help that our medical professionals felt helpless and erred on the side of too much caution. Hospitals were overrun because anyone with Covid was being admitted when it turns out many could have returned home to quarantine and been fine. Our government bounced from one extreme to another and Fauci was the main perpetrator of misinformation; admitting that in the initial stages it advised (laughed, even) at the suggestion of masks in order to prevent a lack of resource to hospitals.

When it was prudent to get exercise, eat healthy, take supplements of vitamin D and zinc; our government shut down parks and subsidized fast food chains. Now we have a nation of children (that were already some of the most obese in the world) whose numbers of obese have doubled, we have a fair amount of our society that is plagued with depression and anxiety, unemployed and a loss of businesses that is just heartbreaking. We are at each other's throats about mandating vaccines and masks.

Yes, Covid is here to stay and we humans need to learn our places - we don't always have the answers; history is chocked full of examples of times when we thought we did we simply traded one woe for another that turn out to be worse.

The real tragedy is that I doubt this episode will have taught the lessons we needed to learn - we were too busy turning a health crisis into a nasty political 'them against us'.

Great commentary, Erick! I just joined your 'army' today....You scared me about the Republicans bending on some issue that could lead to the banning of the filibuster. IF that happens, our country is toast.

I think Dr. Fauci is basically a good man in the same way James Comey was basically a good guy - they both gave in to their need to showboat and feel indispensable, and ended up hurting the causes they wanted to help.

Excellent monologue Erick! Enough is officially enough. If the federal government pushes this any further, the aftershock might will be far more damaging than Covid.

You've said it before Erick, but government has become God for the secular. It's their provider and protector, and they WANT it to be all-knowing and all-seeing because it makes them feel safe. Woe to the heretics who blaspheme its name or don't blindly follow its commandments, and may righteous judgment be meted out to those arrogant enough to question its wisdom and authority!

This country was founded upon religious freedom and I have no problem with others worshipping at the alter of government. But do NOT demand that I do the same. I and my family fall under the protection and provisions of a transcendent God, and we choose to live by faith that He's got our backs.

Fear=power. That's how every totalitarian dictator has existed throughout history. I remember my Ph.D. advisor CRYING when Trump won because she was so afraid of what might happen. She even talked about making a "safe space" for immigrants in her home so they wouldn't be tortured. I can't make this stuff up. She had her pink cat hat, she taught her daughters to fear Republicans (instead of actual bad guys), and she was one of the first to stay inside her house once March 2020 hit. She didn't leave her hour--even to go for a walk--for months. Fauci's word is her scripture and liberalism is her god. A god that leads by fear. She lives in a place where violent crime is up 60%, her kids wear masks outside, and she is furious as the lack of vaccine/mask mandates. I don't understand how she feels better about the future than she did in November 2016, but evidently she does.

If the virus is now endemic, we will learn to live with it. If it follows historical pandemics, it will fade away in another year or so (most pandemics last less than 3 years before everyone who is going to suffer from it has done so.)

I refuse to live in fear. I do my due diligence; I am vaccinated and I'll wear a mask if required or if it makes other people feel better. But I won't let Fauci, the CDC, or WHO live rent free in my head. I control what I can and leave the rest. I don't have time for fear.

It's about damn time Erick. If you're not morbidly obese or have diabetes, statistically you have a greater chance of taking the eternal celestial dirtnap from exposure to peanuts or being stung by a bee.. That's the way society has been for millenniums

Heart disease, cancer, the flu and auto accidents have been eradicated as the major causes of death. Statistically speaking, We need more Covid.... until you look at the actual death stats year over year and see that the only thing that has changed is the column the deaths are attributed to.

Fauci is a political puppet, nothing more. Call him out, in your best PC way.

The thing about Fauci is that everyone whomis goingnto listen to him already are. The people (like me) who aren't going to listen to Faucinalready aren't. There's no gain for Fauci to contiune going out there.

I share your sentiments on COVID and mask wearing, etc., but believe you are being far too kind to Dr. Fauci. After all, what about his alleged involvement in the funding of "gain of function" research at the Wuhan lab and the very real possibility that COVID escaped the lab due to an accident. Senator Rand Paul in some of his Senate testimony and otherwise has provided some very compelling evidence in that regard, as have others. That makes Fauci an accomplice to the COVID, either wittingly or not. What say you, Erick?

Thank you for stepping out and saying what a lot of us feel! My family and many others have not gone the fear route with COVID. We have stood on the promises of God. Agree with the "flu shot" comments as well. Thank you for speaking out against the fact that "they" can control us if we live in fear. I've had enough of the whole business!

Hello Erick!

Thank you! It would be interesting to know what % of people still listen to Dr. Fauci?

Another question- the illegals that are coming in daily- are they being vaccinated ? Temperature take ?

Are masks given for the bus ride to the “chosen” cities - where the illegals are distributed?

Are “they” (Fauci and company)- concerned about this at all? Or just concerned about controlling the Americans that are here now?

Thank you for what you do. I appreciate you.

When asked that very question on Sunday, Fauci said

'no, he's not worried at all about immigrants invading our country with Covid.' You can find the quote at Newsbreak.com...I've also seen the video on Fox.

I'm a free American citizen, Dr. Fauci. I'll celebrate Christmas (and Thanksgiving, and Easter, and birthdays, and anything else I want to celebrate) with whomever I want, wherever we choose to gather, however we choose to celebrate. I don't need your permission.

.Yep, and as a side note, how have our Australian brothers and sisters allowed themselves to be so cowed? I can't imagine things would go at all well in America if the government tried to do to us what the Australian government is doing to the Australian people. I always took the Australian people to be much more free and independent.

Expand full comment

They were. Then they allowed the government to confiscate their guns. Now they're no longer independent. As for free, ask the guy the Aussie police tackled and threw to the ground for being outdoors without a mask.

OUTDOORS.

Ask the guy the police confronted and demanded to know why he was outside his house. They literally demanded while handcuffing him, "What reason do you have for being outside your house?" It's surreal. Like a really bad dystopian movie.

It is surreal. Hard to believe they’ve let this happen to them.

They've just reverted to the "penal colony" status the country had when created, I guess. Oh, yeah...and they took their guns.

Yeah, really sad. I'm pretty sure the globalist left really don't take kindly to us pesky American patriots, who tenaciously hold on to our God given freedoms. I'm thinking the spirit of 1776 resides in all true patriots of all races and creeds who realize government is to be the our servant, not the other way around.
