Thank you, Brother Erik, for a word fitly spoken!

Amen and amen. Will our faith protect us from all earthly harm? No. If things get even worse (as they will), will it allow us to be untouched by it all? No again. What it WILL do is lead us, like Psalm 23’s shepherd, to our ultimate peace and salvation. I believe that God will help us to make our way to that ultimate victory - which we celebrate in 10 days.

First of all, you must know that you've left me (perhaps others) without anything informative and interesting to listen to while driving home. I'm glad I have your post to look forward to and as always you have hit the nail on the head with this post. I know for sure that although the world is becoming more evil and less tolerant of Christians and Jews, that God is keeping His eye on us. He said He would never leave us nor forsake us and I believe all that He says. I am saddened by our country getting more and more "global" minded, yet we the faithful must continue to be kind to others and represent goodness and offer hope in this otherwise hopeless world.

Love this encouragement today! So many of the Church do not see the spiritual side of what's happening in the world. You're right on. God bless you as you have the opportunity to share the love of Christ to the world.

"This is the best they will ever have it and for the believer this world is the worst they will ever have it." We need to remember this and pray for those unbelievers to be transformed by the Spirit of Christ. He is Risen!

Our Leader was falsely accused, sentenced to a criminal execution, suffered and died. But he got over it, lived to tell about it, if you can believe it.

It's possible that we will suffer in this world before moving on, as he did.

But we will, as he did, get over it, live to tell about it, eternally.

If you can believe that.

I do. What's it to ya?

He is my God and I am his person. Since most are forgetting this, the devil is getting bolder and bolder. I love what you wrote. I wish it would be on the front of every newspaper.

Excellent.

You have effectively illustrated the way to enact societal change:

1. Demonize that which is traditionally honored

2. Honor that which was traditionally demonized

3. Demonize anyone who would honor tradition

And, you have the answer.

We need the reminder that the battle we fight is not only cultural, but spiritual. It is easy to forget in the fog of battle. Thank you for this post, Erick!

Thank you for this. I've been thinking about the parable of the Unjust Steward, and wondering if the master (who always confused me) was Mammon himself, praising his manager for sneaky sneakiness. The importance of hating the one and loving the other, and being faithful.
