For the first time in 164 years, the US Marine Corps is without a Senate-confirmed leader. After the four-year term of outgoing General Berger expired, Senator Tommy Tuberville has stifled the efforts of the upper chamber to select and appoint his replacement.
The reason the Left is pushing this is because they believe abortion is a winning issue for 2024. They are testing it here in our off-year election here in Virginia. Erick is right that the Republicans need to stand up against it and the infanticide being pushed by the Left. This is the slavery issue of our time. And if the Republican Party doesn’t stand up against it - it will go the way of the Whig Party.

Reconciliation means the restoring of the relationship between the entire human race and God, putting it back to what God designed it to be. This is what Jesus Christ did in redemption. The church ceases to be spiritual when it becomes self-seeking, only interested in the development of its own organization. The reconciliation of the human race according to His plan means realizing Him not only in our lives individually, but also in our lives collectively. Jesus Christ sent apostles and teachers for this very purpose— that the corporate Person of Christ and His church, made up of many members, might be brought into being and made known. We are not here to develop a spiritual life of our own, or to enjoy a quiet spiritual retreat. We are here to have the full realization of Jesus Christ, for the purpose of building His body.
Am I building up the body of Christ, or am I only concerned about my own personal development? The essential thing is my personal relationship with Jesus Christ— “…that I may know Him…” (Philippians 3:10). To fulfill God’s perfect design for me requires my total surrender— complete abandonment of myself to Him. Whenever I only want things for myself, the relationship is distorted. And I will suffer great humiliation once I come to acknowledge and understand that I have not really been concerned about realizing Jesus Christ Himself, but only concerned with knowing what He has done for me.
My goal is God Himself, not joy nor peace,
Nor even blessing, but Himself, my God.
Am I measuring my life by this standard or by something less?

From what I have read the Navy has some real problems with maintenance of their fleet. I believe they are improving their command of their ships because we have not seen the accidents that happened in the recent past. Other things that are troubling in the Navy are suicide rates and the availability of mental health assistance for young sea persons (not sure if that is right) guess in need to use seamen. Bottom line: it is Leadership. Training, Maintaining and Taking Care of their personnel. Look at what happened with the TR (Teddy Roosevelt) and the relief of a Captain who tried to help his people through COVID. He was relieved and his boss, an Admiral lived on the same deck and did nothing to help.
None of that ridiculosity (if it hasn’t been coined, may I take credit?) surprises me. The military’s primary role is not defense, but rather to serve as an employment service for otherwise unemployable people. When you look at it that way, a lot of the stupidity makes sense.
That said, I’m told the people within the military who actually get stuff done/provide for defense are growing very weary of the ridculosity. (Vague statement, I know. It’s intentional).
They had a plan to infest all of our institutions including law enforcement and the military. They are well on their way to get to the point that they will start taking away the right to own a gun. Then they achieve complete totalitarian power. And all those whiny and hypersensitive anti-Trumpers that voted Democrats in 2020 because of their tantrum over mean Tweets can look at themselves in the mirror for enabling the destruction. You rejected the mean fighter on your side and gave it to insane people on the other side. Not your finest hour.
There should be a "very angry" emoji! because I certainly am. Remember those wonder days of the mid-1970s when the military couldn't punch its way out of a paper bag? They're returning - in spades!!
