First, some housekeeping. Many of you have been subscribers to my activist list. I’m in the process of rolling it over to a more effective system. If you’d like to be a part of it, please go here.
What is it? Well, it is a spam-free portal where I can make it really easy for you to connect when you need to email or call members of Congress or state legislatures.
Now, on to the big issue.
Focus, please, Mr. Trump.
There are less than 90 days and Mr. Trump seems to be struggling. There are two common theories floating; I suspect they both have some measure of truth. One is that Mr. Trump is still suffering the trauma of the assassination attempt, and it is affecting him more than most think. The other is that he was convinced he could beat Joe Biden and redeem 2020. With Biden out of the race, his purpose is missing.
But this is the Biden-Harris Administration.
Mr. Trump, if you want to understand how to beat Kamala Harris, watch this clip.
People do not need or want to hear your story. They want to tell their stories. So tell their stories. Be the voice for the voiceless impacted by the Biden-Harris Administration.
The truth is that most Americans do not think highly of Donald Trump, but they do love their neighbors. So Trump should tell the stories of the neighbors they love and make sure people know he’ll be the guy who fights for them. The message is really simple—he’ll fight for the parents who lost their kid to an illegal alien or drugs. He’ll fight for the mom working multiple jobs to support her kids. He’ll fight for the families in failing schools and struggling to make ends meet.
Tell their stories.
That’s what he needs to do.
The problem, though, truthfully, is whether he shakes up his campaign and changes those around or not, Donald Trump is Donald Trump, and one cannot teach an old dog new tricks.
If Trump cannot adapt to the new environment, it will actually be a good thing should he lose. People will see and recognize, so fewer, should he lose, will blame theft. If he cannot adapt and change and correct, he’ll alienate more of his base. That’s just reality.
But stopping a candidate as far-left has Harris matters. Trump is the only one now who can. So he needs to get his head in the game and tell the stories of those impacted by the failures of the Biden-Harris Administration.
Ann Coulter yesterday:
At this moment of uncertainty, it’s time to make a deal with the MAGA base.
If Trump loses again this year, it will be the fourth election in a row he’s sabotaged for the GOP -- five, if we count the Georgia runoffs in 2020, which I do. To paraphrase the great Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, five generations of imbecilic losses are enough.
Any other Republican could have beaten the Democrats’ pro-criminal, pro-illegal, pro-Hamas, anti-civilization Dream Team this year. But despite being denied the pleasure of watching Gov. Ron DeSantis debate Joe Biden’s Border Czar we’re voting for Trump anyway. We’d vote for Zippy the Chimp over Mao and Fidel.
But this is the last @#$%^&* time. In exchange for the votes of those of us who noticed that Trump didn’t build a wall, deport “Dreamers,” jettison the carried interest loophole or end the anchor baby scam (etc.), leaving us with nothing but Trump’s charming personality, you’re agreeing to never run him for president again.
The dead bodies are piling up on Fifth Avenue. Next time, vote for DeSantis, idiots.
Good advice, but this isn’t who Trump is. You’re asking him not to be himself. It’s all about him.
