I want to get to the headlines, but first I need to ask for your attention as I pull back the curtain a bit. This is a bit long, but please, please read it. This year will be a crazy political year, but also crazy here with me, this email, and my radio show. I’m hoping I can enlist your help.
Ive paid for your subscription for 2+ years specifically for the same reasons that u say others are dropping their subscriptions —cuz ur an equal opportunity punch thrower, u don’t discriminate. Keep it up.
Which stations in Augusta, GA need to be contacted? I live and listen in the WSB listening area, but travel to Augusta frequently and can’t listen unless I stream.
Well, a pox on those harassers! You have built something very special here, of which I am delighted to participate. You can practice turning the other cheek, but that gives us more surface area for which to take aim...
Many if not most of subscribers to Erick are probably self-described Evangelicals. We also know how committed most Evangelicals are to Donald Trump. Iowa’s results brought that home.
The vast majority of Evangelicals support Israel. It seems from the polling I’ve read they are very supportive of Israel’s war against Hamas. But they seem to buy into the idea that supporting Ukraine is a bad idea. What if I told you those struggles are connected?
Dan Senor, in a recent “Call Me Back” podcast interviewed Bret Stephens for a show that dropped on December 28. There was a conversation on geopolitics that discussed the alliances that seem to have organically come into existence, one of which Stephens calls an Axis of Resistance. One the one side there’s the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Japan and South Korea. On the other, China, Russia, Iran (and it’s proxies) and North Korea. Let’s just say the sides have totally different ideas on how countries should be governed. But the podcast focused on how the future could be impacted by the tensions between these alliances.
Foreign policy is not typically as important as domestic issues in elections. But the wars in Ukraine and Israel may bring more weight to foreign policy this cycle. Why? Because these two wars are joined at the hip. The Axis of Resistance is the common thread and is making it an issue. Israel’s enemies are part of this Axis. Israel may be in the Middle East but is politically part of the West. Heck, Germany is coming to their defense at The Hague.
The question that Evangelicals have to ask is who would you like to have as president at this critical geopolitical time? Donald Trump? Really?
He’s anti-NATO. He has a soft spot in his heart for strongmen rulers. His America First rhetoric has isolationist tones that are inconsistent with Evangelicals desire to be supportive of Israel. Iran is the prime mover behind the violence there. Putin is getting drones from Iran for his war on Ukraine. China is buying most of its oil from Iran. What does the Bible say about Gog and Magog?
I’m against Haley because she is ignorant on American history. we still have prejudice in our country.Personally I think Ramaswamy should be Trumps running mate. He is younger and a businessman who isn’t afraid to take on the establishment.
Erick...you truly are the New Rush Limbaugh for me...you provoke thought!
BUT...the Haley thing...no...not so much. I used to be a big Trump supporter! RIDE OR DIE and I am now a huge DeSantis fan...live in Florida...love the man! I will not vote for Trump or Haley or any combination...I do not think Haley has a strong record as Gov and I am tired of Republican flip floppers...Haley is a flip flopper and stands for nothing...her response to the question...can a man become a woman...she dodged. I do not respect that. DeSantis may not have run a great campaign but he is the best man for the job!
Happy to call radio stations in Colorado. Do you have a preference? KOA has the biggest reach but mostly local programming. 710 KNUS has Levin, Hewitt and Prager but also Gorka, Kirk and Tatum and a couple of good local shows. 630 KHOW has Hannity and Beck plus local.
Erick, do you have a site preference for pre-ordering? Amazon is the Great Satan to some but B&N never did Conservatives any favors either. If I don't get any response I'll just order from Amazon because it's frankly easier for me but I want to help out as much as I can.
I can't do anything about 2-4 and eagerly await your announcement about The Gathering this year. It was FANTASTIC last year.
I would love to hear more about item six and which sponsors are being attacked. I don't need banking but steaks are beloved and Omaha Steaks does good work with the original plant-based meat ;)
You keep posting about your faith in politics. Keep'em flyin' and don't let the bastards get you down!
I don't have a preference. Amazon is easier to track pre-sales, but Barnes and Noble sometimes gets snippy with publishers if you mention Amazon and not them.
I’m a paid subscriber and subscribe to the Spotify podcast. I‘ve been a listener from the beginning and gotten my daughters hooked on your show from the podcast as well since the show isn’t on a local station for them (Macon - Go Bears! and DC). I appreciate your insights and willingness to hold our own side to account. Thank you for so openly sharing your faith and stories of your family, and your recipes are always a highlight. The book is pre-ordered, and I will continue to pray for you, your family, and the success of your show. Yours is often a lonely voice of reason in the world of political commentary.
Just food for thought, I have considered dropping my subscription. For 2 reasons. 1 you can't do anything about. The economy along with inflation makes it harder to stay a subscriber and as sad as it sounds I am determining if $7 a month is needed elsewhere.
Second, give the subscribers a little more content, or something for our subscription. Most everything you send out to subscribers is given to everyone just a little later. Give us a subscribers corner with a peek behind the curtain. A story every now and then of something that happens to you that is funny or interesting. Just some thoughts from an avid bread baker.
Preordered the book. One of your first subscribers. Will subscribe via Spotify. WSB is my station.

Is it even possible Trump could successfully get Haley to join the ticket after he's insulted her so much during the primaries?

I encourage everyone to listen to it.

For those of you willing to call stations, I'll reach out individually with the list for your area. Thanks.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders for VP?

I pre-ordered it on Thrift Books which was cheaper also.
Do you have a link for that? I'm not familiar with them.
https://www.thriftbooks.com/
Given Erick doesn't have a preference I used your location. The pre-order still gets tallied at the publisher's end so it's good.
Glad it worked out. I still use Amazon, but Thrift books has some deals and you can earn free books.
Book pre-ordered! Enjoy listening to you-since I am located in the “people’s republic of Austin TX” I have to livestream.
Let me know who to call to get you on the radio!
