This is a good read for Trump haters. Note that Chris is far from a MAGA Republican... he leans center-left in many things. https://chrishedges.substack.com/p/the-donald-trump-problem But he is anti-war which means he is probably despised by the establishment Republican types. Nevertheless, good read.

Reading your linked opinion piece, I get his “anti-war” stance to consist of blaming the United States for everything in the past 60+ years. He actually suggests Trump should really be prosecuted for “assassination” of an Iranian terror mastermind.

He is consistent in his opposition to American hegemony using our military and CIA. However, that wasn't the point being made. The point being made is the recognition of the reasons Trump is supported by nearly half the voters.

If the young wake up like minorities as to the need for leaders that support the working class and not the elite moneyed Wall Street-powered ruling class... Trump wins in a landslide.

“American hegemony?” Let’s see, who else uses that term among current world leaders?

What does that matter?

We all know Trump is a self promoting ass I only wonder why so many people fall for that. We also know most Democrat politicians including the president and vice president never had a job in the private sector and think they know how the economy works yet people keep voting for that .

Love the article and agree. I’m one of those sick of the drama that comes with Trump but I love Desantis! Btw… did you get to the bottom of why WSB your home station didn’t put Victor A on and played a rerun? Very annoying!

Idol worship will bring an end to the Republic.

There was a story this weekend, about Desantis. And the story was that there was no story. His team works hard and shuts up. That won't last once his team expands for the run, but for now its driving the press mad. Trump's formula has been to demonize & disparage. I'm a guy who hated Clinton (slick willy) and every dem since so I will vote RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR no matter what.

But my question this morning is this. With the show heating up so soon, do you think my waistline can withstand extra butter on my popcorn?

Cheers

"As I have said recently, whining, not winning, is the MAGA 2.0 mission." Beautifully put!

Already so weary of this. As a very reluctant two time Trump voter, I will not vote for him again.

I may not have been paying complete attention, but it seems to me it was days of the "news" talking about a Trump indictment before any word from Trump on this.

Not that I'm a fan of it, but show me a politician who *doesn't* try to fund raise off their name being in the news.

Welcome Back! I read this morning where a Thailand based company purchased a gas fired electric company in the USA .

TodayElectricity Generating Public Company Limited or EGCO Group confirmed the successful completion of its acquisition of a 49% interest in Rhode Island State Energy Center, LP ("RISEC"), a 609MW natural gas fired combined-cycle power plant situated in Johnston, Rhode Island in the United

If you look throughout history at leaders who emphasize and demand personal loyalty above all else, the lessons aren’t good ones.

Instead of Lee Greenwood's "Proud to be an American," the theme song for Trump's rallys should be Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train."

This is getting embarrassing.

“The New York Times and others willingly obliged Trump.”

The irony is lost on you Erick. Trump is only successful here because of the mass psychosis of Trump Derangement Syndrome afflicting the professional media chattering class and their coastal elite customers.

Y’all are easy to manipulate that way.

“Y‘all, we all just witnessed an election where 13% of Republicans and a majority of independents all voted for the Democrats because they were tired of the crazy and the 2020 stolen election nonsense.”

Correct me if I am wrong, but you have not even acknowledged the Twitter Files and what it proves relative to Trump supporters protesting Democrat election cheating. The label of “Nonsense” at this point, given what we actually know about government, media and big tech all working to put giant thumbs on the scale of our democracy - corrupting it beyond recognition - to elect Biden over Trump. I am furious about it. I am also furious that the same government withheld video evidence that the protests were 99% peaceful, and that same government put and is putting non-violent protestors in prison and destroying their lives in clear violation of their constitutional rights to protest.

The Jan-6 “insurrection” claim is bunk, non-serious and indicative of low critical thinking. It was an effing protest. The ignoring of the Twitter Files story by anybody in media is suspect of something deeper given the implications to our once great country.

There is no “election denying” there is denying about massive election cheating at the highest levels of power and wealth in this country. You hate Trump so it does not bother you… and THAT is a problem if you call yourself a patriot.

Ok, I read Frank's comments, then Mark's responses, and that back-and-forth, then finally Joe's response below (or wherever this comment ends up). I'd suggest that both Frank and Mark are both patriots, and possibly, Mark, you are not reading Frank's comments carefully, or maybe, not allowing grace to a differing viewpoint. I can't disagree with anything Frank said, but I don't believe Frank is a deranged Trump supporter. Trump is a flawed individual, but his policy instincts are far above anyone running the current presidency. I don't speak about what I believe about the 2020 election, but I got my rear-end out to vote in January, 2021 for conservative Georgia senators. Shame on any Georgian conservative voters who failed to show up to vote because of what they believed about November 2020. Our job is clear - a conservative MUST be elected in November of 2024. Keep our eyes on the goal. Personally, I'm for DeSantis, but will vote for whomever wins the primary, but frankly want it to be someone other than Trump. I just feel that when it comes to Country or Trump, Trump will choose himself. We need much better than that the next time around.

Oh, and people like you have ruined the word, “patriot” for me: you are a myrmidon for a lying, coward draft-dodger who lied about his feet to avoid possible military service - actually fighting Communists - but then disparage critics of your lying loser as being unpatriotic.

People like me. Typical. Nothing but personal invective. Exhibit A for a deranged Trump hater that has lost his mind to media-flamed emotional tantrums of political hate. Not a good look Mark.

Not “a good look” to defend an adulterous liar, coward and con man, either… but here you are! It’s easy for someone who is defended 24/7/365 by people armed with fully-automatic weapons for the remainder of his life to run his big mouth and act like a buffoon. Tell us - since Hershel Walker lives in TX - where was Hershel Walker this weekend? Was he on the stage with Trump?

You are carrying water for a con man who can’t spell, “stolen,” but you disparage Trump critics as not having “critical thinking skills?” Really???
