Erick, it I always good to be reminded that this world is not our home. God is sovereign and in control even and especially when we don't understand. We don't have to understand, we are called to trust Him in all things. I am always grateful for your political commentary, it makes me think....but also reminds me we are foolish to trust men and not God. Blessings and Happy new year.

I have been a Blessed man all of my life from my Parents to my wife of many years that I lost to cancer in 2001 and then the Lord Blessed me with another wonderful woman that we just celebrated our 22 anniversary today. Yes Jan 1st. That way I remember what it is. But I will say that after all the Blessings, and I know the Lord tells us we WILL have tough times, and stating 10 years ago started that tough time when my wife lost her way home. Today she is in Memory Care and I live in Independent Living but we still went to the "Olive Garden" for our 21st time on our Anniversary. That is where we had our first date.
But for the Blessings to come. So many things are happening today that show us that the Lord is NOT far from coming. First we will see the Seven Year Peace agreement signed, and that is not far away. Sometime in the next 18 mo. Then the Great Tribulation that is shortened, and then His coming for us with His Angeles. All in Matt: 24. I will shortly be 90 but I feel I will make it to that time. I Pray you and your family will all see those days as well.

AND... Don't be shy to SHINE ("Make them wonder what you've got"--Newsboys) just for loving SPITE! Heap coals on their heads while opening their eyes to the "wonder of it all" (Point Of Grace). Whenever I'm invited to pray before our rural NC-town food pantry, I say "Thank you for the sun which shines, and for the Son who reigns...AMEN!"
Eric, My wife supports Trump. My best friend who was working the election as a watcher in Houston witnessed one of the other workers casting multiple votes during the day with a stack of driver licenses that he brought to the polling place. There was voter fraud. How much? Did it make a difference in the outcome?? Anyway, if you cannot or will not broadcast a list of why to not vote for Trump, please share with me (I will not betray your confidence) your reasons. I have been supporting you since your days at Red State and I was with you in Austin for the Gathering. I would have been coming to Atlanta, but health prevents the travel. Someone told me of a trick used in an election. Schools are used as polling places. But not all of them. Pre loaded machines were placed in non voting schools and collected in the evening. You can have all the watchers you want but you have to guard the process at every stage. Voter fraud by either party is equally evil.
One of the things that drew me to you, Erick, was the wonderful way you have of being involved in politics but knowing that politics is not the be-all and end-all of life. You have your eye on the prize and you encourage us to NOT be like the world, but show Christ, even to those who will not do the same to us.
Amen to all of this! Christians need to be salt and light and show the love of God through the Holy Spirit. Thank you for your encouraging words.

You mentioned an incident of voter fraud that was done almost in the open. My reply was of an example of massive fraud done in the shadows.
