Thank you, Erick! This is a clear explanation of the Facebook hearings. I appreciate it and I have shared it with friends.

I agree with Erick's assessment entirely. Twitter, with some exceptions, is a cesspool of hate and an echo chamber for the Left thereby reinforcing their beliefs that the majority share their thoughts, opinions and radical points of view. Forget the fact that Twitter enjoys, what, like 10% of the social media audience. It really is awful and would not be missed if it went away tomorrow. Facebook on the other hand is the social media platform of choice for the Baby Boom generation, those born before 1965, and has broad appeal to most people older than say 30. Personally, I don't get much if any "news" from Facebook but like most use it to keep up with friends and family. Also, Facebook Marketplace is a much better platform for selling locally than is Craig's List - never had a FBM scammer issue, but CL is loaded with them. My two cents. Zuckerberg still sucks and IMO is dangerous given his interest and involvement in transhumanism, man's ultimate undoing.

Facebook notoriously shadow bans. Regardless of political affiliation. The reality is Facebook needs to be broken up. Each of the platforms should be viewed as publishing platforms and treated with the same scrutiny though given disinformation coming from all sides, I’m not quite sure what ultimate good that will do.

It is concerning that the far left and the post-Christian, "populist" New Right seems to have come together to try to destroy Facebook. They are pissing off both sides, that tells me they're doing something right. And whatever happened to free market Capitalism? I'm not a big Facebook fan, I have an account I rarely use. All social media is a magnet for professional victims and the terminally stupid.

Facebook has always been crazy. Ive never had an account on that platform. Most social media is trash. It's mind rotting, time wasting, toxic, troll haven. Promotes false realities. Dont make this political.

I use Facebook to stay connected with old friends I met up with decades ago on a (now defunct) horse forum where we used to gather to chat about our horses, ask and give advice, report on training progress and silly, cute, funny things our horses did.

FB once removed one of my posts for "violating community standards" when I posted about my gelding being fat, stubborn, lazy and ridiculously enamored with the two mini mares in the next pasture...which he is. He's also a horse, and therefore unlikely to suffer "emotional harm" from my negative comments about his weight, his attitude and his sexuality, but evidently their algorithms didn't catch that part. Oh, well...it's not like I said anything I don't tell him to his face.

I do take regular breaks from social media when I feel myself getting too involved...and angry. It helps.

Must disagree here. Facebook throttled massive evidence that the Biden family is corrupt, and compromised by communist China. They did this in October 2020, as votes were being cast, by suppressing the NY Post's Hunter Biden expose. They and their Democrat Tech Monopoly/Oligopoly pals stole the 2020 election by suppressing news that hurt their party's candidate. It can't get any worse than that. Monopolies are bad. Corrupt Democrat monopolies that control our nation's information flow are even worse. We must use antitrust laws already on the books to break up Google-YouTube-Gmail, and Facebook-Instagram-WhatsApp in round one, then do the same to Apple, Amazon, and Twitter. It will spur the US economy to explode with innovation, and end the Democrat death-grip on political information. Facebook execs are not our friends; in fact, they hate us, and our children.

Love that line...

Facebook has become a neighborhood town square for the old, the stupid, and the angry. 🤣🤣
