The DOW at historic highs, Real Estate values shooting to the Moon, crippling inflation... I wouldn't be surprised if there's another financial collapse sometime between mid-September and the end of October...

single largest correction in 15 years....

Interesting time frame, I don't think there was a single economic indicator during the Obama years that was not revised down after the fact.

(Edit: Ok, so Erick blew that hot take out of the water)

So the Federal Government/political parties can't "get away with it" in the since the lie stays on the books but the revision, while covered, comes without the prognosticating analysis, usually positive, the originally reported # gets.

Trump needs to focus on 3 things until election day:

1) The economy

2) The Border

3) Exposing Kamala Harris as the extreme leftist that she is. And her VP pick as well.

If he does those three things, He wins.

We should "simply be grateful", as the progressives' alternatives are (a) you will own nothing and be happy, or (b) hold my beer, you ain't seen nothin' yet.

It is not just the numbers alone. For years they have been changing the rules on how they count different economic factors. They change how they count unemployment by taking people out of the labor pool saying they are not looking for work anymore. When many would love to work but might have temporarily given up. They use the same subtle changes in how they count in other areas too. If we reported numbers they way they were counted in the 60s we would be shocked. But they have slowly changed the game so these numbers are barely noticed. Please note... I am not an economist, I am just some shmuck that has opinions and frankly I might not know crap, but this is what I think. Have a great day everyone.

This is funny. There was an increase in fees the government charges for immigration status change which was increased earlier this year by 18%. The reason that they stated as to why it increased that much, " to cover the rise in inflation cost."

Speaking with fork tongue they are. Our COLA increase is projected to be between 2.5 to 3.0% this year. That will really be helping the middle class on fixed income. Yep, send another nearly 3 billion to Afghanistan so they can maintain and fuel more of our equipment Biden left there for them to put on parade AND that Trump in his egotistical mind so graciously negotiated with the Taliban. Both are scum bags. We have no leadership. I puke at the ad Wala Kamala, The Joker, claims we have a "secure border", BS. You can't trust anyone to speak the truth and have integrity.

Yeah, the economy Biden created is great, except no one told AOC. She specifically remarked on old people needing to come out of retirement to pay the bills. They're schizophrenic on the economy: Biden created a great economy, but Kamala goes on about how it's not working for the Middle Class and she will do this, that, and the other to make it better because prices are too high. Which is it?!

Erick's Apple podcast has become "new and improved." But there is absolutely nothing IMPROVED! Until this week, we used to be able to go back 15 seconds, and go forward 30 seconds. Now, you cannot go back, and it does not even tell how many minutes have passed. Why did they feel they needed to "improve" it?

What you describe is often the nature of "improvements" that the Masters Of Tech force upon us. I have lost count of the number of times an "update" to Android software has resulted in games - games!! - being forced into my phone, and fifteen subsequent minutes wasted finding them in the app folder and deleting the asinine things.

Same question here.

We look forward to a reply -- or a simple rewind to the way it was.

We're unlikely to receive a reply. They (Whomever "they" are) are the smart ones.

Will Trump talk about this … no it will be some asinine thing about Kamala or something to stroke his ego. I voted for him and was going to vote for him for him but he apparently doesn’t want to win. Just shut the “F” up and talk issues.

With people who speak of ‘nudging’ the public into more acceptable behavior and with their newfound reliance on ‘whole of government’ initiates to change things, use of statistics and polls to steer our outlook is a given. As Erick points out, they change the definitions of things like “full time employment” to suit their agenda. When things look better than they seem to folks ‘on the ground,’ first look at how they change the definitions. A recession was understood to be two consecutive quarters of negative growth - until that conflicted with the narrative. Those in charge get to change the rules, and when the objective is to hold onto power at any cost, it follows that the rules will change often. Since the bureaucracy owns the rules, that’s where the power resides, and so that’s where the left can be found. The best solution is to decrease the ability to write more rules, and eliminate most of the others.

I wouldn’t for Kamala if she were running for Street Sweeper because she lied about Climate Change and the inflation caused by their fake climate.

Well I would not have thought that government would intentional rig Justice Department investigations and court cases in order to influence public perception. I would have not thought that the health agencies in government would intentionally rig the science and statistical reporting in order to influence public perception. You do know that Obama offered hundreds of millions to local law enforcement if they would change the way they reported hate crimes, and then the Democrats in all the big crime cities collided to stop reporting all sort of crimes... both of these moves were to rig the data to influence public opinion.

At this point I think it is very naive to trust that any of the government-reported data is not in some way manipulated to influence public opinion.
