I will probably vote early just out of convenience - but hopefully other Reps will pay attention to the news if Dems continue to come out in record numbers and use it as motivation to show up BIG on Nov 8.
I have developed a philosophical objection to widespread, lengthy early voting. I will vote on Election Day unless there’s some reason I can’t. Just my opinion as a traditionalist, although the early voting does make our experience on Election Day short and easy. Of course, our regular voting precinct is directly behind our house!
Last year I was at the local library and noticed people going into and out of a meeting room. I looked in and it was early voting. Someone asked me if I wanted to vote and I told them I would do it on Election Day. Why? I’m here and on Election Day I can use the time for something else. I went in and voted.
Republicans vote early also. The Media Industrial Complex doesn’t tell you that.
I chuckle as I listen to you. While I have been clear regarding my admiration of your intellectual abilities, I will stop short regarding your prescience... and as a nationally syndicated radio host (and growing), one must be able to sell his show. Thankfully, you have been blessed with something really, really good to sell!
I understand your point but I am not sure you're right this time. I live in heavily Republican Pickens County which usually has huge turnouts on election day. I voted on the first early voting day. The poll workers have seen huge numbers of early voters. A friend stood in line for an hour and a half and left without getting to vote. Early turnout in Pickens County is huge and probably Republican. Maybe that is also happening elsewhere.
I agree, I vote Republican and I couldn’t wait to vote early. I have never voted early before but I feel like Republicans are getting more used to the idea. I suspect that there will be more democrats than republicans voting early, but not by as big a margin as before. Time will tell. Erick is correct though in that the press will use the fact that early voting is higher than normal to claim that Republicans aren’t going to have a red wave and to attempt to discourage them.
Well that’s the point. The turnout is going to be big and interpreted as Democrat, even if not. But nationally, Democrats do dominate early voting and it doesn’t matter.

From your lips to God's ears, Erick. Thank you for all you're doing.

It takes longer to write my name and address than it does to vote will wait and vote. I expect a 20% interest rate.
