The common theme is respect America and government respect of Americans. the far left does not respect America, Democrat politicians and more than a few Republicans don't respect Americans.

Your forum elicits the best in candidates, it is not a debate stage. I hope the candidates stay focused on the positive and what matters in the months ahead.

I don't need to hear how bad it will be if Biden wins, I already know. I need to hear how they will make it better, how their policies will, not "return" us to the past or have us chasing a self defined future which inflames hope and fear (Obama),

but allow us to have a better life now, where we stand at eternity.

Erick. Today at the Gathering was outstanding. It was so empowering to hear Tim Scott, Mike Pence, Ron Desantis and Nikki Haley talk about issues and weave in their governing priorities. It was also impressive how much agreement there is among them about the issues we face and solutions they would offer. Hearing remarks from these outstanding candidates unfiltered by press edits is such a valuable thing. We look forward to more of the same intelligent and inspiring discussions tomorrow. We have a deep bench indeed. Look forward…not back.

Please don't use "forward". I get it. I need to hear how they will make it better, how their policies will, not "return" us to the past or have us chasing a self defined future which inflames hope and fear (Obama), but allow us to have a better life now, where we stand at eternity.

I enjoyed seeing and hearing the candidates messages. As I was talking with an out of Georgia guest we started discussing “0 base budgeting “ in Georgia and how it really keeps us Solvent. Brian Kemps message to the candidates really needs to sink in . If you stay Fiscally responsible you can achieve the things you want for the people who matter.

I agree with Alan. My first time at the Gathering and the format is just outstanding. Long form answers on serious questions. Really gives you a feel for how candidates and officials reason she address problems. MUCH better then 30 second sound clips

Thanks to Erick for putting this together. It was my first personal experience attending any political event of any kind, and I found it remarkable. It was refreshing to hear rational voices on the right (in a long format) not named Trump.

I am so glad Brian Kemp is Governor of Georgia

This 100x - my lord if Stacey won we’d all be screwed. Kemp is an outstanding Governor and has a future in bigger politics.

I’m proud to say he’s my governor! He has been so good for Georgia.

Ummm, yeahhh. I don’t think so. If you truly think this way, then fine, but, then have the courage of your convictions, spell out your reasoning, and be prepared to debate the responses or take a hike.

Brian, don’t be a troll. Support what you say or consider not saying it. Perhaps list your life accomplishments next to theirs so we can determine whose brains are more complex.

The local media seem amazed that you-know-who wasn’t the focus of attention in your forum. Thanks for keeping it that way as much as possible. Maybe we can see what a sane political party might look like for a couple of days.

What a blessing it would be if any of these candidates were the Republican nominee for President. If Donald Trump is the Republican nominee, he will lose, again. And the consequences for American and for the world will be dire.

Remember the pencil! Brian Kemp’s prop today. It’s crazy to me people still want Trump as the next President. The last 3 elections taught them nothing. However, there were 81 million Americans who wanted a President whose first response to the a natural disaster that killed 100+ American citizens was “no comment…”Some people are just hard headed so we have to navigate through it.

I think all of them missed the mark. Tim Scott was closest. Nikki Haley was nibbling around the edges.

Clearly these candidates are trying to hold on to the political establishment end of the pool while trying to convince us they are swimming in the anti-establishment (i.e., Anti Democrat Party) deep end. Trump is all in swimming the deep end, and has been.

The average US citizen is at war with the entrenched political establishment and corporatocracy. That cabal is actively working to destroy the working middle class. The Republican platform needs to be one where we are going to take back the country from the cabal. There was not enough fire in any of these presentations to convince me that this list of candidates gets it.

I have hopes that Vivek will hit a home run tomorrow and become our front-runner.

I could not disagree more with your characterization of what we heard from these candidates today with one possible exception that I will not

name. Three of these folks are fighters with drive, intelligence and no interest in going along to get along.

Ok. We will see. I appreciate the different perspective. All I know is that we need to defeat the Democrats. But if these candidates cannot pull away the Trump supporters, there is no hope they will defeat the Democrats. The Republicans and moderates that hate Trump are not enough in numbers to win if we lose the core working class Trump supporter from the Party. And the Democrats are itching for that with handouts, unions and minimum wage hikes... along with a basket of lies that they will protect their jobs. It will take a very nuanced, charismatic and careful image to walk that middle line and I don't, at this point, see any of these candidates except maybe Vivek doing it well. Tim Scott is close. The problem is that if they cozy too close to the establishment, the working class Trump vote is not gonna like them. DeSantis has his head up his rear with the woke war. The Trump supporters don't like that stuff, but they are more interested in the American corporatocracy being dismantled and their economic lives restored.

The people I wanted to see most definitely did not disappoint. Time Scott: amazing. Ron DeSantis: as good as I expected. Nikki Haley: as fabulous and thought she would be.

Such depth on the Republican side. People need to open their eyes, listen, think, and learn.

Not to mention Mike Pence, Ken Cuccinelli, and more. Fantastic
