Greetings from a mountaintop in the middle of nowhere. I’m technically on vacation, having not taken vacation last week. But the news waits for no one and this is all worth passing on to you, because I suspect a lot of it will be mentioned briefly in passing so the press corps can check a box, but not dwell.
First, it looks like the Biden Administration is giving up on Florida as a swing state and acknowledging it is not in play. Coupled with that, they are making kissy-face with dictators.
While the Biden Administration does not want a wall at the southern border and is stockpiling children in cages (notice how no one cares about that anymore), people fleeing the chaos of a communist dictator in Cuba and the chaos of Haiti will be turned away.
Water walls are good. The actual walls are bad apparently. We should always take in the Cuban people fleeing communism. They fly our flag in protest. The situation is different from the Southern border. But even if it is the same, should we not house these people as we are doing along the southern border? Why treat these people worse?
Also, the Iranians have attempted to kidnap someone from inside the United States. You would think the Biden Administration would take swift action against a foreign state attempting to kidnap someone from the United States. If Trump were President, you know there’d be an American response. But Biden wants a deal with Iran so bad, the federal government is treating it as just a law enforcement matter.
We’ve gone back to head patting dictators — something the left abhorred when Trump was doing it to the North Korean despot. But Iranian and Cuban dictators get head pats from the left because deals for the sake of deals are far preferable to actual security.
As the late Royal Marshall used to say....
"Jusr d@mn."
"Why treat these people worse?" Really simple, Erick: Cuban Americans tend to vote Republican. 'Nuff said.
