Many progressive subscribers to The Washington Post have canceled their subscriptions following the paper’s decision to end its 50-year tradition of endorsing presidential candidates. Owner Jeff Bezos wrote an opinion column yesterday defending the decision and claiming the paper needed to hire more conservative voices to regain bipartisan credibility.
He’s right in the sense that institutional leftwing bias is ubiquitous in newsrooms across major media outlets. Just last night CNN banned The Dailywire’s James Girdusky for saying he hoped Medi Hasan’s beeper didn’t go off on Abby Phillips’s show. But the network willfully ignored years of radical antisemitic statements from Hasan, including Hasan referring to Republicans as Nazis during that same program.
Jeff Bezos is right that The Washington Post needs conservative opinion writers but more importantly, The Post needs conservative editors in the office and reporters in the field to break the leftwing worldview infused into the news product they produce. That’s how The Post and every other mainstream outlet can regain trust.

Erick’s life and work is locked together with his belief in Jesus Christ, and the moral compass that comes with that faith.
But we can still have hope that MSM will figure it out somehow someday.
Erick has said many times, we don’t have a political problem, we have a spiritual problem.
When a Marxist America is your most cherished goal, it's pretty tough to lower yourself to that "regain journalistic trust" thing.
