During the heat of the 2024 presidential campaign when illegal immigrants were flooding across our southern border and the compounding effects of inflation was wreaking havoc on family budgets, I told my radio audience that the mainstream media would return to covering both subjects once the election was over.
they (media) omitted the news on both these issues simply because it would in their minds hurt Harris more and help Trump in the run up to the election this year- a very simple reason why the media did this.
The problem isn't that we know this. The problem is that the Left continues to ignore it and I don't mean the elected Left or political class of Left. I mean the electorate-Left, the willing skulls-full-of-mush. They not only tell us what we've seen with our own eyes and heard with our own ears didn't happen. Further, like a battered woman clinging to the man who just beat her senseless as the police offer her a way out the electorate-Left cling to the legacy media as reporters promise they'll never do it again and buy them nice things. We all know how this ends.
The same way the MSM ignored Biden's dementia in 2020 and 2024, and Kam's fraudulent, phony, incompetent, lying, superficial facade. No more affirmative action tokens.
I occurs to me that record high immigration, inflation and wall street profits are inter-related.
Think of the demand impact from 8 million extra people in our country consuming groceries and fuel and other commodities. That demand pressure applied against the supply side would surely cause prices to rise, and actually would lead to higher corporate profits as well.
But Erick is spot on, the mainstream could not discuss these facts due to the campaign for power.
You lump "Wall Street profits" in there to tag it with the same level of "bad" as record high immigration and inflation. Your 401k growing or someone's stock portfolio getting larger is not a bad thing. This is akin to those shouting that the UnitedHealthcare CEO had it coming because he runs a company they don't like. Making money isn't evil. The profit motive is what kept the pilgrims alive that second winter and how our country began.

I merely intended to point out the back story that so many in the mainstream didn't seem understand. Mainly, the economy can actually be so bad for so many (due to high inflation caused by high immigration), while it is so good on the nightly Wall Street report (due to high demand caused by high immigration).
