Have you watched The Chosen? It's so good, powerful to see the Lord and his disciples depicted so effectively, seeing the words we've read and heard countless times, brought to life on screen.
As escapist entertainment it serves its purpose. Where I've watched the first film several times, something I rarely do, I will pass on watching this one again.
I watched this with my 4 daughters and wife. Unfortunately I cannot get the 2.5 hours of life that I wasted watching this movie. It was as my 27 year old daughter said "atrocious"! I am a corn ball movie watcher who will watch and like anything - this movie did not even move past the worst of the Hallmark Christmas movies. Do yourself a favor and do not even be tempted for the amusement of it to watch this movie.
"As an HBO Max subscriber, I got to see it without wasting any more money than the HBO Max subscription."
Since we don't subscribe to HBO, I know not to waste my money on the other streaming options, when it's made available through them.
I also know which movie to rule out for my happy birthday to me treat in a couple of weeks, which is about the only time I grace the movie theater at this stage in life.
Thanks for the review, but we avoid Hollywood as much as we can. On another note, and no segue at all, I made your French toast casserole for Christmas brunch yesterday. A big hit! Thanks for the recipe. Blessings...
Thanks for the review. I liked the first WW movie, but won't waste my time and money on this one. Hollywood's (and other Left's) propaganda is like nails on a chalkboard to me now more than ever.
OMG......I will never again attempt to read this while in the bathroom......I almost peed on my shoes! Oh the ignominy of it all, oh the sardonic humor! Fantastic!
I was actually thinking more about Michele O's attempt to tweet-storm ISIS (Boka Haram?) into stopping their practice of taking young girls and giving them to their loyal adherents. Tweets and lectures are just SO effective when dealing with irrationality...
That mid credit scene was the best part of the movie...

Saving me time! I assumed it would be a train wreck, but at least that’s confirmed before I spent the time to watch it.

"the woman can’t defeat the man, so she talks him to death."
Reminds me of my ex-wife.

Guess it was a good thing that I was sitting in the bathroom as I was reading this.
Bwahahahahaaaa!
Hahahaha
“ I guess that is why it is considered a feminist masterpiece — the woman can’t defeat the man, so she talks him to death.”.
Oh my - get ready for the hate mail - haha.
