Y’all, I am really not trying to be flippant or dismissive here. And I don’t want to stay on this subject as I, like you, and tired of it. But I can’t get an answer to the question.
I asked the question on Instagram. Taking all your arguments as legitimate that 2020 was stolen when Donald Trump headed the federal government and his pick at Homeland Security authorized the drop boxes, his pick at the DOJ did nothing to stop the steal, and his pick at the FBI did nothing to stop the steal and Republicans were in charge of Arizona and Georgia and had better positions in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, how is he not going to have 2024 stolen when Biden is now in charge, Christopher Wray is still at the FBI, Biden now controls the DOJ and Homeland Security, Brad Raffensperger and Brian Kemp are still in Georgia with axes to grind now, and Democrats now really control Michigan and Arizona with improved positions in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania?
If, taking you at your word, 2020 was stolen with Trump and the GOP in charge, how is 2024 not going to be stolen with Biden and the Democrats in charge?
As I mentioned, I asked this question on Instagram and all anyone wanted to argue was whether 2020 was stolen. You can go read the comments yourselves. As of this writing, no one has offered an answered. Maybe someone will by the time you read the comments. But not so far.
I’m telling you, let’s accept that it was stolen for the sake of argument. In 2024, the situation will be even less favorable to Trump and, by the way, he is still opposed to early voting and absentee ballot collection efforts, which the Democrats used in 2020 and 2022 to great effect.
So can anyone answer the question? I really am curious what the answers are.
And I ask the question for an obvious reason — why even bother putting Trump up in 2024 if it is just going to be stolen again? Why not give someone else a try? The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over expecting a different result.
So I guess what I’m asking is, is the GOP insane?
100% yes to answer your question! If Trump is the nominee then 10,000% ! Trump had his chance and blew it. Time to look ahead!
I think DeSantis would actually clean out the swamp! He’d be respected / feared by our international foes, has a solid track record governing as a conservative. Would not be afraid of Dems in Congress and push back without being an ass. I’m in for Ron and so done with Don…
The answer to the last question is YES. I will not vote for Trump in the primary (NC), but if he is the nominee I will vote for him in the general. I think there are too many headwinds to overcome for him to win the general. I am really turned-off by his aggressive attacks against other Republicans. I want the Trump agenda without the Trump hysterics.
